If there was a season 4 of bb, there is high chance that they planned for bruce to die. what way would you have preferred he died and why? and should terry give up being batman in honor?

Any story like that should have been reserved for a movie. It doesn't belong in the series. As for how he should die? On a fallen bridge on a far away planet after saving the universe once again. Oh, wait...wrong series! Honestly, I think anything would leave fans dissatisfied. There is no way they could kill him off and keep everybody happy. I used Kirk dying in Generations as an example...hardly anybody was pleased by that, including William Shatner himself!

You can't kill Bruce Wayne. Hands DOWN. Terry may be the one in the mask, But who is the spirit of batman? Thats right! Bruce! :D

The only respectable "death" for Bruce Wayne would be something similar to what happened in THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS. If his end came down to THAT, then I wouldn't be upset.

Thing is, fans don't want that sense of closure. Even in comic books, death is pretty final - particularly in the Bat-universe, because it's supposed to be fairly realistic. If we see a body, the guy is dead. If Bruce does die, then what's the point of making more stories prior to his death, if we already know the ending?

Kill Max instead. That could be one of the few good episodes with her in it. Just like with Batgirl stories - her best stories involve her getting killed or seriously harmed (THE KILLING JOKE, OVER THE EDGE).

Killing Max would make for a comedy, for certain!! I think Batman Beyond should remain a action and dramatic show, for the most part! :D

That wouldn't work. Max is one of the people that helps Terry out the most. Killing her would be like running outside without any clothes on. Its impractical.Of course, they could kill Terry and make Max the hero. ^_^

While I don't strongly like or dislike Max, I could see the sense of killing her off in the mythical season 4. The heart of the show is the Terry-Bruce dynamic, so neither could die unless we're talking about the finale.

Max's death opens up so many story ideas. How will it affect the way he works as Batman? Will he still want to be Batman? Will her death strain Terry's relationship with his family or Dana? Will Terry be able to resist his thirst for blood when he tracks down Max's killer?

I think if done right, Max's death in a two part episode could have been the standout episode in the series. If it was done right, treating it as this Batman's great tragedy, you would get a story that rivaled Return of the Joker for the best stuff to come from the Batman Beyond universe.

If bruce did die, he deserved a peaceful, happy death, with the last image in his mind of his parents telling him they were proud of him before he blanked out.

that would be the best way for bruce to go. however, if this scenario where to come about in battle (which it should) he has to kill whoever he is fighting. i couldn't stand it if someone killed bruce and got away with it. if he offed them first and then drifted off as you stated, that would be a cool way to end the batman series.

I'll have to concur that anyway they were to kill off Bruce would bother one fan or another for whatever reasons. I would like to see him die heroically, maybe saving Terry or Gotham, something like that. A peaceful way could work too I guess, but it would seem kind of anticlimatic, personally. I'm okay with Max as well, I can see how people like her or hate her. I can also see how, if she were killed off, it could open a lot of new areas to be explored.

What about Jim Gordon? Did they even mention how he died? Was I the only one who wanted to know how one of the most important Batman characters died?

As for Bruce Wayne; I'd like to see something really bad happen to Gotham and Terry gets hurt. This leaves leaves the only option to save the city being him putting the suit back on for the last time. He saves the city and while all the cameras are on him he takes off the mask showing Bruce Wayne and then he falls to his knees dead from a heartattack.

I think he would get crushed by the giant penny. :)

I think that, instead of dying, they should make Batman immortal.

However, as time passes, he fades more and more into the background, becoming more of a behind-the-scenes manipulator, and occasional mentor of his disciples.

I dont want Bruce to die, but if he has to, I want him to die fighting. I want him to face danger one last time. I want him die trying to stop a maniac wanting to end the whole world. And above all, I want him to be remembered by the citizens of the DC universe that he was a great hero, although they don't have to know he's Batman.
