Wow, Dominque's definitly grown since '04.I just want to enter into the record that it is Dominick. Rey's son doesn't share a name with the NBA Atlanta Hawks legend.

After hearing the crowd's pop for DB after he simply stopped Miz from winning proves it. HE.....IS.....THE....FUTURE!

That opening segment was perfect. CM Punk got ultra-heat and to her credit, Rey's daughter really sold it well. The crowd was great.

What worked:
Rey Mysterio & family-CM Punk. Now Punk refers to his Traveling Salvation Show as his "family". Whose idea was it, if it wasn't his, to have him grow his beard like he was Charles Manson, anyway? This was especially creepy.
Dominic has grown up since we last saw him. Ya wonder if he's in training already to step into the business after high school?
Highlight Reel. I'll grant it was too short, but Jericho needed to get the upper hand with 2 weeks and change before Wrestlemania, and he got it. He didn't even bother with the intro, unless that was edited off in post-production.
ShoMiz vs. Truth & Wisdom. The two teams split the singles matches, which makes the most sense, and at the same time, Miz's issue with Daniel Bryan is furthered, which normally I wouldn't agree with. With Mizizzle being overexposed to start with, well.....! It wraps up a bad week for Miz, who ends up jobbing twice "in 4 nights", but Big Show got some momentum back for his side by KOing Morrison.
What didn't work:
Intentional DQs. And we had 2 in a row (Kane-Gallows, Tiffany-Michelle). Luke Gallows lost to Rey Mysterio last week, so why the DQ vs. Kane? It makes no sense. Simply Flawed, meanwhile, have discovered jobophobia, as Me-Chelle could've put Tiffany over in her debut match, since it was non-title, but Vickie Guerrero had to stick her nose in it. I can see it's going to be a problem for Beth to even attempt a Glam Slam on Vickie, who actually deserves it, but there's still an imbalance between faces & heels (5 heels, 2 faces with Mickie on the DL).
Vickie's power trip has to stop, preferably yesterday. She thinks she can decide when Me-Chelle can defend her title? I don't think so! It's just unfortunate that the creative team has to follow the whims of a sick, senile old man.......
The devaluation of Drew McIntyre. From proud champion to whiny brat who needs three attempts to qualify for Money in the Bank, and on the 3rd try, gets a rent-a-jobber squash. I think we just found this year's MITB winner, folks.
I'm tellin' ya, the only way this stops is if Vince is forced to retire. "Mr. McMahon" has long since been played out, but Vince won't give it up. He doesn't want anyone to see how weak he really is, but he's gotten so predictable (see Monday), you might as well set your watch when his next feud, if there is one, comes along.
Best part of the whole broadcast for me? The Iron Man II trailer. 'Nuff said. :D :D :D :D

Wow, Dominick's definitly grown since '04.
You're tellin me. I saw the kid and I was like "OMG that can't be Dominick. " In fact it took Rey to say "This is my taller then me son Dominick" for me to actually think it's him. The whole time I was convinced that Dominick may have been Rey's nephew because I didn't think Dominick could grow up that fast.

I know this would never happen but it would be so epic if at WrestleMania Dominick pulls a Raven/Sandman & turns on Rey, then joins the S.E.S:D

Opening segment dragged a bit with Rey celebrating his daughter's birthday. I understand he's a super face, but having the crowd sign Happy Birthday was just tipping into the corny territory. Punk saved the segment with his deranged promo and instigation of Mysterio in front of his family. The Manson beard definitely raised his creep factor up a notch.
Truth and Morrison facing the Tag Team champs in singles matches was a nice treat. Especially nice that the victories were split between both teams tonight. Truth/Morrison have a lot of potential as a tag team, so I hope they're not completely wasted.
Speaking of wasted, that Hart Dynasty/Cryme Tyme encounter could've easily been skipped. It lasted for all of one minute before Undertaker came in and squashed them all. How does that help either of them when we've had promos all week about Taker's streak and this continues to bury actual tag teams that could be holding those belts?
As much as I like McIntyre, its pretty sad that he had to beat a local jobber to qualify for the Money in the Bank match. You'd think the guy that beat Morrison, Finlay and Kane wouldn't have so much trouble securing a spot on the WrestleMania card.
Nice to see Beth Phoenix getting involved in the Title hunt. If anyone deserves to be a champion, its her.
The Highlight Reel was entertaining, and did what it had to in order to fuel the story. I'm just glad Jericho wasn't made to look like a joke this week, even though he had to use weapons to beat Edge. Guess you have to get heat somehow. Props for mentioning previous WrestleMania matches, or the absences of some in Edge's case.

I really liked SD tonight. Only thing I probably didn't agree with was Taker clobbering two of the 4 WWE tag teams but whatever.
Jericho finally got something going and it was done really well. Sick belt shot as well. I liked him standing over Edge after weeks of him making Jericho look like a chump. I'd like it if Edge chased for a little longer and not win at Mania, especially as it looks like Cena will win the title.
Punk continues to be awesome with his opening promo. Everything about it was creepy, the beard, the close up on his face, him talking to Rey's family.
Also nice to see Tiffany in her ring gear;). She's not too bad by Diva standards and I hope to see more of her. Beth got a huge pop for knocking down Vickie, I thought that was kinda neat.

Here's my thoughts on seeing this show live and in person:
Yes, the opening segment was magnificent. I'm so glad I got to actually experience it. The crowd got really ticked at Punk for ruining a sweet little girl's birthday celebration. I even felt myself getting all worked up, and the crowd went wild when Mysterio came out after the match between Kane and Luke Gallows. I'm normally pretty reserved in public, and I had been fairly quiet all night save for a few exceptions, but even I had to stand up and cheer at the top of my lungs when the brawl broke out!
Here's a neat fact: CM Punk actually attempted 2 GTS' on Kane: he missed the first one and I wasn't surprised that they edited it out.
My poor father was so sick of the loud pyrotechics that by the time John Morrison came out with his silent pyro he was covering up his ears by habit.
Speaking of which, I noticed that on an earlier segment for NXT, Chris Jericho appeared to get some sparks in his eyes. He was rubbing them shortly after making his entrance, and he was even tossed a towel. It was probably nothing serious, but it was a little disconcerting at first.
Something I found amusing was the Smart Mark in front of me and another group on our left that went against the grain and cheered Carlito and Chris Jericho. The guy in front of us had younger siblings with him, and it was fun to see his cheering at odds with the kids' booing.
After The Highlight Reel, Theodore Long came out and announced a sudden match between Edge and Chris Jericho. Edge lost, but he finally hit Jericho with the spear afterward and capped off the night by telling the crowd how much Seattle rocked :D. While this might disappoint people that were glad that Jericho had finally gotten the drop on Edge, keep in mind that it has no baring on the actual 'story'. As far as continuity goes, Jericho still won the night and this post-segment was just a gesture to let the crowd go home happy.
All in all, I had a wonderful time and I hope I can go see another show in the future.

That would be epic. But, how old is he? 12? 13? I really can't imagine a kid that young turning on his dad and joining the S.E.S.. I think this was a one time occasion.

You know, why does Drew Mac have such a great theme? I mean, look how low he's been, he was whinnying that he wasn't in the MITB, which didn't seem that troublesome, but to head in the MITB as Intercontinental Champion? Why? Why couldn't he face someone who isn't a jobber?
I just hope the title gets ripped off him somehow, and sure, it increases his chances of winning at the MITB, but unless he's a pulling a Triple H by being World Champion and Intercontienential Champion, and should the writers actually get on with it.
Daniel Bryan hasn't won the match, but am I the only one who thinks that Daniel Bryan was brought to NXT for....ratings?

So is there any explanation for how the WWE logo on Punk's mic was upside-down at first and then miraculously righted itself?

Well, the answer's prety simple:
CM Punk learned that thanks to Criss Angel.

No matter what Vince and co. might think, Smackdown is the "A" show and Raw is the "B" show, and they proved it once again with a solid outing this week.
Creepy cult leader C.M. Punk for the win! Man, did he ever get some good old fashioned heat! Anything I say about him is going to be totally biased, seeing as I am a huge C.M. Punk mark. Having said that, it was still a great segment to start the show with.
Also good to see Jericho finally overcome the spear (what?) spear (what?) spear (what?). Let's not crown Edge just yet, folks....
And I guess I have to ask it sooner or later: whose butt is Miz kissing backstage to be holding three belts? Well, if his association with Daniel Bryan leads to him being put in the Cattle Mutilation, then I will surely mark like a 10 year old! :D
Smackdown is once again the best show of the week...

I only got to watch the first part since the basketball game went on longer than it was played to, and I wasn't going to stay up till 1 to watch the ending of Smackdown.
So it was pretty good Smackdown so far. Punk cut a good segment, McIntyre beating a jobber was pretty pointless, he could have just beaten someone like Slam Master J or Jimmy Wang Yang.
R-Truth vs The Miz was decent. Daniel Brian messing up The Miz was awesome
Morrison vs Big Show was what it was. Morrison held up well. (I really wish he was in this Money in The Bank instead of McIntyre or Kane.)

Using Rey's tattoos to spell check, I have to admit that I was wrong on Friday, it is Dominik with no C. Anyway...
Dominik really has gotten big! If his 1997 birthday is correct, he is only 12 and clearly gets his height from his mom. I actually thought the Mysterio family celebrating Aaliyah's birthday was kind of cute, but obviously Punk made the segment. That whole part was gold, but when Punk sadistically finished the song it was extra evil. Matt Striker was visibly uncomfortable when they came back from break which really punctuated what we had just seen.
The fans are really responding to Daniel Bryan or at least his reaction to The Miz. His giving an assist to R-Truth went over extremely well to say the least.
The "Where will you be?" HBK-Taker video/series of interview pumped up the drama of this match even more. People like to declare that this should be the last match and should have been last time and I don't necessarily agree with that, but it sure seems like this is the main event. Even just since Elimination Chamber, the build the two Title matches have gotten can't compare.
I enjoyed Teddy Long lecturing Drew McIntyre even though it didn't phase the Intercontinental Champion. His win over Aaron Bolo was certainly less than impressive.
Tag teams facing each other one-on-one is a staple of PPV team matches and I thought it worked really well here. Morrison put up a valiant fight in his match with Show, but it's tough for that to be enough.
Undertaker destroying The Hart Dynasty and Cryme Tyme certainly didn't do those four any favors, but he certainly made the Dead Man's point. Plus, even I have to be honest, did anyone want to see those four fight again? :p
I didn't mention this earlier in the week for some reason, but I found the RAW Rebound particularly worthless this week as about half of it was actually from two weeks ago. It just made it seem really unnecessary.
Vickie seemingly getting freaked out by Tiffany talking to Teddy was an overreaction, but it was good to finally see Tiff in the ring. Vickie bull-rushing her outside the ring said more about Mrs. Guerrero than anything Santino/Santina said ever did. At least Beth Phoenix has finally asserted herself fully.
I found Matt calling Luke Gallows "Bizarro Kane" notable as in another life, the former Festus was 'Impostor Kane' from early summer 2006 (before Kane disposed of the man the night after Vengeance 2006). Rey going after Punk here shows he is ready to go.
I was a little surprised to see The Highlight Reel back as I'm pretty sure Jericho swore off it when he attacked Shawn Michaels on the set (or soon after) a couple of years ago. The World Champion made the most it though, calling Edge on his relationship with Vickie Guerrero and bashing him in the neck with the mic when he was ready to scream "spear" again. After the last several weeks, the belt shot to the head was so satisfying.
