With the induction of the new animated category, should comedy be the next new Academy award category? In my opinion, some of the great actors have tried comedy and some have failed at it, it's almost easier to do drama than comedy. You can't succeed in making people laugh all the time, but for the most part, you can convince people your half way crazy as another person. Films like Some Like It Hot, The Odd Couple, Tootsie, Annie Hall, There's Something About Mary, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Jerk, Blazing Saddles, Friday, Austin Powers, Billy Madison, Ace Ventura, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, and many more should have been in the category and most of which would have won.
