I’ll leave this thread open because it at least provides something more than “I talked to a guy” as evidence. Frankly, I’ve always thought “Total Drama: The Musical” sounded more like a working title, so if this change is true, I would welcome it.

A little late to change the title now, don't you think? They already have a TDM page at the Cake Entertainment website.

Either way, I hope it isn't true. I may be in the minority on this but I like "Musical" a lot better than I do "World Tour" and I think the former makes a heck of a lot more sense.

Cake Entertainment’s website is merely there to encourage networks to pick up the series. If they decided to change the name, I doubt any of the networks who were interested in it would suddenly change their decision. Regardless, this is all speculation at this point.

Why would they do that? Just because of a title change.

All they have to do is redub Chris`s lines from Musical to World Tour. That's a big difference than cutting out the song scenes and making up filler altogether.

Still, the fact that total drama world tour links to cartoon network, means they're preparing a website for it soon. It won`t be long now.

I wonder of TDR is the title for the 1 hour special.

It feels awfully weird to me that they may have changed the title. Now the singing part of the season doesn't seem to make much sense with it being called "World Tour" instead of "Musical".

I believe they said late spring-early summer in the USA. I'm thinking we'll see the 1-hour TDA special in April, and then TDM/TDWT in May.

April 1's HHT line-up is 100% Total Drama, so April 8 or 15 seems right for the TDA special.

Well, the name change is official. The blog confirmed it today.

I don't know what to think about this. I liked "Musical" better because it made more sense to me and justifies the singing being there. "World Tour" explains the globe-travelling aspect of the season but not the music portion of it.

Now people tuning in to this season are probably going to wonder why there's so much singing in it.

I think the subtitle World Tour conveys both the traveling and the musical aspect all in one. Cause when I think of World Tour, I normally think of singers and bands on tour like Lady Gaga, and AC/DC for examples. That and Guitar Hero World Tour.

It worries me a little bit that they say Ezekiel makes at least one appearance. That could be saying that he doesn't appear as much as we hoped. Great pictures though. And I noticed that they are all listed as Episode 53. Meaning the first episode of TDWT. And Ezekiel's scenes appear latest in the episode while Chris's appear the earliest.
