Keen idea: now that Lex is a public outlaw, he should takeover what remains of Intergang. He's got the wealth, clout, & organizational saavy to do it. Plus with Intergang, he'd be the unquestionable leader, whereas with the Injustice Gang, he'd have to deal w/ egoes...particularly the Joker's MASSIVE ego!!!

So what does the board think? Will/Should Luthor revive Intergang in Season 3?

Why would Luthor need INTERGANG of all the God-forsaken groups in the DCU he could lead?

Why not? He's lost LexCorp. So why not build on the next best thing? He can turn Intergang into a global underworld force, rivaling Ra's al Ghul's network.

Plus, it's something he can put his stamp on. All these super-villain groups will ultimately be disbanded by the JL. If he had a syndicate like Intergang, Luthor would be a much more elusive target.

Plus, he'd have agents throughout the map: Metropolis, Gotham, Central City, Coast City, Gateway City, Bludhaven, etc...

I'll admit: I'm not too very learned about Intergang. What I know I got from STAS. Since the events in "Legacy", I can only assume that Darkseid no longer has any influence on Intergang. Without guidance, the gang implodes. But w/ Luthor's wealth, brilliance, and thirst for vengeance, he can raise Intergang up from the ashes and mold it into a world force...and eventually a threat to the JL.

Is anyone here still opposed to this idea?

I'm sure I'll enjoy "Injustice For All" & "Legends", but until I see it, I'll never really accept Luthor as a mano a mano type of villain. His strength is manipulation. I like him best when he's the plotter/planner, using people as pawns. I like when he's behind-the-scenes yet still in-your-face, ya know.

Besides, after getting beaten by the JL on the frontline, I'm certain Luthor would prefer to revert back to his older, more succesful methods. Plus thru Intergang, he can hire some old friends, like Luminous, Livewire, & Metallo (all of whom he had a hand in creating)

So what says the board: Is my idea a HIT or a MISS???

I didn't know he had a hand in creating Luminus or Livewire. I don't believe he had the slightest bit to do with either of their creations.

And there's no reason he would need to lead Intergang. If he wanted to make his stamp on something, he'd seize control of LexCorp and do his work through there.

Let's not forget that there's no reason he couldn't assemble a lower key Injustice Gang, and he could act out the role he was born to play as opposed to Intergang, a mob who steals cash. Luthor doesn't need cash.

Sorry. I don't mean to sound so negative or personally offensive, but your idea doesn't hold any water with me.

"As far as the content of your post, I didn't know he had a hand in creating Luminus or Livewire. I don't believe he had the slightest bit to do with either of their creations. "

Livewire:
Luthor is indirectly responsible for her.

A. He owned the station that aired her radio program. He kep her on because he share her anti-Superman attitude.

B. Her being on air allowed her to establish a cult following, which led to her extravagant celebration in Centennial Park.

C. Though, not necessarily creating her, Lex did take her in under his care after she was apprehended by Superman.

Luminous:
A. Lex is responsible for Luminous because he provided Lightner (spelling?) w/ materials while in Stryker's Island. Though he was supposed to be working on LexCorp research, Lightner was clearly using Lex's technology to create his light-defracting device.

And falling back on Intergang, under Lex, they wouldn't be cash bandits. He'd have them stealing information, weaponry, & hardware.

Besides, he couldn't possibly be permitted to regain LexCorp.
Isn't he in prison for crimes against humanity. Does anyone know what charges he was found guilty of?

When did Luthor become a public "bad guy"??????

I still think Intergang is the last possible place for Luthor. That is just sticking Luthor in a place for the sake of sticking him in somewhere.
