Anyone who saw the preview for 0083 last week there was a brief scene of Nina in the shower now cut to last night the shower falls to the cutting room floor........Now i figured they would at least shorten it since it got away in the preview but i guess not.
I'd also like to point out that next week "The Warrior of Von Braun" is the first edited for Adult Swim episode

I found it strange that they cut that shower scene because it was even less risqué than your average soap/shampoo commercial. Nothing but head and feet close-ups.
For anyone who doesn't know, that scene was just Mora trying to get Nina to admit that she likes Kou.

Yeah... They cut it.
And I was looking forward to it, too...

That wasn' the only weird edit this week. As usual, Pilot Candidate also got chopped up on the editing floor. (I don't know any other the characters names, so bear with me) After the girl with the ears says something back to the officer guy, we see her face is red. I figured she was just blushing for some reason, but it was only on one cheek...hmm. Then, Zero says something to the officer a little later and we cut to a shot of him on the floor in pain. He then says "I get punched and all she gets is a slap?" Oh. So that's what happened...okay...
People are always pensive about showing any violence against women on TV (unless it's a tv movie on lifetime), or any other medium. Remeber the video game Street Fighter II? Whenever somebody lost a fight, the character would show up all bloody and beaten. However, the one female character, Chun Li, would only have a bruise and be slightly dirty. Sorry to get off topic.
Once again, damn Toonami. It's supposed to be Adult Swim.

And I could have sworn they showed Zero getting slapped by the cat-girl in the "Next Episode" segment last week...

Interesting note on that; in MSG, they were allowed to show Amuro slapping Frau in the first episode, and they even showed Mirai being slapped by Slegger in one of the later episodes. All on the Toonami afternoon run.
Go figure. :wakko:

They also showed Relena slap Marimeia (Hope I spelled that right) in Endless Waltz. Maybe it's the fact that a woman was hitting the female child that made is okay. Who knows?
