First off, this is intended purely as a 'WHAT IF?' discussion thread, not a suggestion that we all get together and try to attempt such a crazy thing! ;)

Anyway, a few of the comments in the 'Canonize CoTE' thread got me to thinking...

WHAT IF everyone on this board pooled our financial and creative resources to form a production company to finance the creation of an ALL-NEW DTV set in continuity with the established DCAU. Assume WB Animation said "Sure, if you're paying for it, and WB owns it, what the heck, let's do it!" and gave us the Green Light.

A few guidelines WB gave us:
- The film must be 75 minutes or less.
- b.t. must be attached as a Producer.

So we've got it, possibly our one and only shot at EVER seeing the DCAU again. What do we do with it? At what point in the continuity is it set? What questions does it answer? Who are the main antagonists? Any characters in need of a redesign? Any new characters that should be in it?

VAs would of course be as 'original' as possible.

Some of the suggestions I would make at our first production meeting:

- First of all, it seems like EVERYONE wants to see what went down in the 'Great Apocalypse of 09', so let's finally put that one to rest!

- I always thought Ra's Al Ghul should have had an opportunity to take on the League.

- I really wish more of the concepts from Grant Morrison's run on JLA had been used... 'Rock Of Ages' in particular comes to mind. The idea of some of the League's heavy-hitters being out of the picture, desperately trying to defeat Darkseid in an alternate dystopian future reality while the remaining Leaguers deal with the problems plaguing the present in their own reality is very appealing to me.

- Let's leave Luthor out of this; as much as I love Clancy Brown, Lex just had so much exposure in the DCAU, it's time to give someone else the chance to do something. I would however like to see some of the members of his Injustice Gang from Grant's comics get some screen time, specifically Prometheus and Queen Bee [who we get a tantalizing glimpse of in the beginning of 'Far From Home'].

- Let's please not spend $1,000,000,000 having WB reanimate and slightly alter CoTE to fit into DCAU continuity! ;)

So, what have you guys got? I'm excited to hear your ideas!

I wouldn't leave Lex out. I'd just make him much less prevalent because his trip beyond the Source Wall gave him different motivations.

Here's what I'd do:

Series A: Justice League-inspired maxi-series consisting of an 18-episode season (5-parter/movie + 13 episodes) instead of an on-going series.

-Five-part premiere = Apocalypse of '09. Lex is going after the multiverse now that he has knowledge and power from the Source Wall. His goal is to use Anti-Life to redesign Earth-Prime, destroying the multi-verse established in CO2E and thus controlling the new one that would be made by the changeds he'd make to Earth-Prime. The story would then reference CO2E in limited flashbacks scenes (we're talking a max of 2 minutes of redrawn art while someone narrates to a newer Leaguer who knew nothing of CO2E). This is done to establish that the events of CO2E are canon, but that the movie itself is not. Lex grabs Supermen from the multiverse as his 'proverbial Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,' which include Ultraman, The Cyborg Superman, Justice Lord Superman and Superboy Prime (it would seem Prime destroyed Earth-Prime). Many elements of Infinite Crisis would be borrowed. In the process, a few universes would converge, including guest-appearances (or cameos) by the Justice Society, Hal Jordon (from JLU) and other heroes (the 'Lost Lanterns' from a Universe in which Hal destroyed the GL Corps). It turns out JL-Superman was actually looking for the right time to double-cross Lex the whole time (as JL-Supes was merely a misguided version of our Supes, not inherently evil), as well as mentoring Superboy-Prime. By the end of the Apocalypse, JL-Supes will die and Dr Fate will use magics to make Lex lose all knowledge from beyond the Source Wall. Many heroes will be killed as well.

Rest of season:
-Overall theme = Dealing with the falling apart of the League, as many were wounded or killed or whatever during the premiere, as well as the general belief that it's grown too big now that most villains were killed by Darkseid in JLU. Elements of Kingdom Come are used, as members start joining Captain Marvel's team, since he's anti-JL, while Vandall Savage leads the remaining villains' team, using a 'we can win when their Hero War is over' mentality.
-Consequences of overall theme = The League ends up going 'back to basics,' meaning the founding members and only some of the recurring heroes we've seen in JLU are make up the whole team. (EX: Instead of founding 7 + up to 10 regulars + 30 cameos + 100 more we never even saw, the team consists of founding 7 + 10 regulars).
-Three-part finale = Now that 90% of the villains are gone after JLU, the only thing standing in the way was the massive JLU, so Rha's goal was to divide and conquer, systematically attacking lone heroes while manipulating events to go the way they followed once Lex decimated the League. Thus he manipulated heroes into going alone or joining Captain Marvel's faction instead of staying with the League, while manipulating the remaining villains into becoming a unified big target that was bound to be defeated by either or both hero teams.

Featured Episodes:
'Wurldz Fynist' - Classic DCAU comedy ep: Flashback to early League days before Cadmus was known. Explains how Bizarro returned to Earth (with diff costume) and how Waller learned of Bruce's identity. It seems their early cloning days used Lex's old program that created the first Bizarro. Their first attempt was to clone the League (minus John, since he just had a Power Ring). They all turn into Bizarros and are scheduled to be destroyed, but Bizarro (Supes) and 'Batzarro' escape. They go around town saving fires from firemen and cops from police officers, as well as their superhero friend 'Yellow Lantern' from the evil 'Stewart-O'. The two then head out into the sunset.

'Family VS Family' - Hawk and Stargirl join Captain Marvel's faction, while Dove and S.T.R.I.P.E. stay with the League. Eventually, they're forced to fight each other when the two hero-factions finally clash.

'Birds Of Prey' - A few female Leaguers form a team with Huntress. They save the day, but realize their place is with the League instead of leaving it.

'Second Chances' - With the team falling apart, Giganta tries to join, as its faction still has the Flash, whom she has a crush on since the end of JLU.

'Secret Origins' - Hal Jordon, Kyle Rayner and John Stewart are attacked by the Lost Lanterns, GLs from a universe where Hal decimated the Corps.
