Why is Justice League in widescreen some nights while other times it is not. At 12:30, I noticed that it was not widescreen, yet at 10:00, it was.
Can someone tell me why Cartoon Network does this??

Timm & co. originally wanted the series to be in widescreen to give it more of a movie/epic feel. CN said "no it's a kid's show and we want full screen." They compromised. The show is animated with widescreen in mind and then more or less filled in the top and bottom to make full screen. The full screen version airs on Sundays at 7 eastern (new episode premire time) and the afternoon slot (don't know what day, I never watch that one). Then the widescreen version (what Timm wanted and animates for) airs Saturday nights at 10 eastern.

Fullscreen: Sun 7pm, Sat 12pm
Widescreen: Sat 10pm
Everybody, do yourselves a favor and record FS & WS on seperate videos. I do.
If the argument is Which Is Best, I don't know really.
I understand Timm & Co. felt JL should be WS because of the epic-sized storylines.
I'm not a real widescreen junkie. I guess I'm just so used to fullscreen.
For the most part, the program is scaled to fit into a WS format, so not much is cropped off.
I enjoy the show either way.
Pick your poison.

Actually, the only reason I watched it at 12 was because I thought the Anvil Wards would prempt it. Which is better? Widescreen of course. But if the full screen is really widescreen taking out the space, I'm ok with it. I wish CN did stay with widescreen though.

Of course not. I just prefer widescreen.
