Hello,

Possibly someone in the forum can help me out. I'm researching a book about Vaudeville and looking for a jpeg, or other kind of clear pic, of a scene from "Hamateur Night"; a still of Egghead being pulled off a theater stage with a cane (that old gag). Sadly I don't have the ability to get or take a screen shot and was hoping someone here with the right equipment could find it.

Many thanks to Joe Tully for turning me on to the forum and and an education on what's necessary to get the pic. If used, naturally I'll take care of the proper copyright and cite arrangements and credit the sender. Thanks again! Onenr

I'm bumping up this thread because I'm not sure if onenr is getting help or not. I'd help out myself if I had a capture card.

You not only get to help him out, but you get to get credited in the book too! :D

Wait, those birds (John and Emily I pursume) came from "Daffy Duck in Hollywood". As Hamburger would say: "It's not a gangster picture (rolling r's).

Pedantic Man here again. That thing wouldn't have been called a "cane" in them thar days, but a "hook." As in loud cries from the audience, "Give 'im the HOOK!"

Of course, it also resembles a crook, a shepherd's staff used to similarly reposition recalcitrant ovines.
