I know and hope that the end of Justice League does not come for a long time, but when the last season comes. Who do you want to be the villain in the series finale?

I personally would like to see a story set in the future where the Justice League is forced to reassemble after splitting apart years ago when Vandal Savage, Gorilla Grodd, and Felix Faust reappear to take control of the planet.

or

The Justice Leage faces their greatest challenge when the demon, Neron, grants evil powers to all of the greatest Justice League villains in exchange for their sould ala "Underworld Unleashed."

Cliche but... Darkseid.

Dark Knight

I'd say Darkseid too at this point (granted I havent seen a lot of the other big villains yet like Vandal Savage etc.) but i could never be JUST Darkseid. Darkseid would have to have a deck of aces on his side that would represent a nice shmear of the leagues deadliest enemies.

He should make a pact with all the would be world conqueres and evil genious' (Ras Al Goul, Lex, Grodd, Brainiac, Joker, Ocean Master, Faust, Sinestro, Savage, etc.) and promise them Earth in exchange for the death of the JL. There should be enough of a summoning of villains that it would require the aid of all the past JL guest stars to stop them. Then it could end with an insinuation that the JL is about to get a lot bigger as Aquaman, the Demon, the other GLs of earth (Kyle, maybe Hal or Alan Scott,) Atom, Hawkman, and whoever else may or may not end up geust starring stand victorious with the 7 that have carried the series up till the end.

Heck I just hope that when the show comes to an end the creators get a chance to see it coming and write a cool finale-type episode. But yeah, Pete, lets hope there wont be a finale for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

I think it would be fitting for the JL to fight something that threatens not just the earth, or even the galaxy, but all reality as we know it. Something so powerful, or so dangerous, that even the normal villains like Darkseid, Mongul, and Luthor would fight against it as well.

This 'something' would either be divinely powerful, and could be a suped-up Neron with hopes to destroy all life. Or it could be a villain who hopes to change something by timetravel, unfortunately destroying the very fabric of reality. Or it could be the Anti-Monitor itself, bringing about a Crisis of Infinite Earths that the JL could hope to win without destroying their own world.

Something as epic as this would be excellant for a finale, as long as J'onn isn't treated as a mental patient of some sort and given less than three seconds screen time in which he only stutters and shakes. This is the only reason I'm not fond of 'Kingdom Come.'

It would still make a good finale, or maybe something like 'Dark Knight' (?) the Miller story it has an end feel to it. Or how about a surprise ending like the heroes don't do the cliched win the day thing and actually lose and the world is either destroyed or enslaved. Very unexpected and if well-done, eye-popping.

that's it,

point well taken. they would definitely have to change J'onn
from the kingdom come version. he is too important in this series to end up like he did there.

I think an entirely new villian should be created. The creators have shown us their ability at not only revamping existing characters but creating new ones, and creating a powerful (mentally or physically) supervillian or a set of supervillains for the specific purposes of a finale would not be a stretch.

Actually a cliffhanger ending would be good, ala Legacy

Something borrowed from something like that would be great...the invaders come back from the first episode, and J'onn has memories of his life on Mars. He gets lonely, and opens his mind to the Earth's population. He has a 'brain overload' and goes completely useless. Throughout the action-packed, intense, emotional episode with a dynamic plot and lots of surprises and detective work, the League has difficulty with the invaders until J'onn returns to his senses to save the day. Still feeling lonely, he tries to commit suicide by opening his mind to an even larger population, but the League comforts him and convinces him not to.

Its just an idea. What would make it better would be if it was stretched out across five or six episodes, when in one episode revolving around a seemingly different issue, a member of the league realizes that the invaders are shape-shifting and taking the place of high government officials again.

I like this idea. J'onn deserves to save the day and it would seem fitting that someone as lonely as he must be would contemplate or attempt suicide so long as he's talked out of it. Five or six eps would be awesome.
