4x Bleach? Needs more Code Geass.
4x Bleach? Needs more Code Geass.AS lost the rights to Code Geass.
AS lost the rights to Code Geass.
Judging by the definitive lack of reaction, you'd wonder if they had the rights in the first place.
I can only wonder if it was Geass the show or it would do better on ScyFy, but I digress.
THE Kirk Thornton Bleach Recap Timer
Bleach 126: 1:19
Bleach 127: 0:33 - It doesn't count, however, because there was no Mr. Thornton
Total number of recaps with Mr. Thornton in them: 12
Total length of recaps with Mr. Thornton in them: 00:23:21
Average length of recaps with Mr. Thornton in them: 01:56.75 [down about four seconds from last week]
Longest: 02:41
Shortest: 00:56
Median: 02:01 [average of the 2 middle numbers, 1:47 and 2:15] [down 14 seconds from last week]
Another short recap, with the second shortest officially counted during the tracking. Either way, there's enough "recap" footage to replace one full episode of Bleach. Yay, old animation!
BTW, to continue from last week's "WTF Andy Dick?!" news segment, that's actually from a real news outfit from Taiwan. They are the same people who brought us that weird animated video of the Tiger Woods incident (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i5FlC1MpkE) a few months ago and their explanation of the "Late Night War" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ9m1an-pQ8)between Jay and Conan. I say this because [as] is continuing this with John Edwards' fall from grace. I smell a contender in the [as] awards come December.

English Language Version from the exact same outfit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=splihjtnoFg)
Andy Dick story from last week (http://video.adultswim.com/adult-swim-news/andy-dick.html) Can't find the original, but it's probably on the official YouTube account (http://www.youtube.com/user/NMANews) of the Taiwanese news outfit

what happened to Metalocalypse it just fell off the face of the schedule after 5 new episodes and 1 weeknight run
according to a bump Powerpuff Girls Movie made $20 million and ATHF Movie made $5+ million and AS claimed both of them as "our stuff"
These news segments are easily the funniest thing Adult Swim has aired in years.

AS lost the rights to Code Geass.
What? Since when? It's still on their shows page (though Blood+ is still on there...) and they still have clips on AS Video. However...I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, given how ratings-challenged it was, and how it was treated during its run.
Geass is the only show missing from that Saturday lineup of win. Why do the shows I love the most fail the most on Adult Swim? Ah well, it can't be helped.

Actually, AS never announced they were letting go of Geass yet. Just DN and Blood+. As far as I'm aware Adult Swim still holds the rights, for how long remains to be seen.

American Dad should be at 11:30 and Boondocks at 11, or vice versa. I`m amazed AS is holding on to stroker and hoop for so long, when they could easily air something like Birdman or doubles of one of the older 15 minute shows instead. HEll, even robot chicken would probably do great. But stroker & Hoop? Why?
That fanart of Quest vs. VB was pretty badass.

Question: Was there any change to the show this run through? What I mean is, now the show is licensed to Funimation I thought there might be a possible change in the credits but I forgot to tune into find out. So I'd like to ask anyone who remembered to watch it if there was any changes to the show this run through (I don't expect anything to be changed but a possible credit, FWIW).

(http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2010-01-06/funimation-entertainment-acquires-flcl-from-production-i.g) The press release in the link said so. Therefore, the broadcast rights are still with the dead owner, Broccoli/Sync-Point, or reverted back to IG; [as]is still either under the original agreement or made a new agreement with IG.

I looked at the press release you linked and it doesn't say anything, one way or the other, about Funimation having/not having the broadcast rights. It can be inferred that they don't have them, due to the lack of mention, but it doesn't exclude them either.
Still, your point is made - Funi probably doesn't have the broadcast rights. I think it's highly unlikely Broccoli/Sync-Point still has them, if they ever had them to begin with. So I do wonder who has the rights now? Maybe the rights didn't change at all but I have to wonder if they did because FLCL was off air for as long as it was :thinking outloud to self: Oh well :) .
