This was the first ep with Green K...it was pretty good...great lines in the episode and great animation and fighting scenes.

A great ep. This is truly a classic among the bruce timm series's.

I just wasn't into it. Having people come up to Supes to say "You don't look so good" was annoying. And those kind of endings where it's "they'll be back" also annoyed me.

First a duck, then a dinosaur. Superman sure does fight a lot of robots. And next week it's Metallo, and a few weeks after that, Brainiac. At least they start looking human. Not that anything's wrong with fighting animal robots.

Let's hear it for the jazz chase scene score. That was fun and quite different from what they usually do.

Pretty good. I'm really liking Superman here. A good story on how Luthor gets Kryptonite and how Clark encounters "A Little Piece of Home." A well done ep.

This was a great ep and the first time I've seen it. I gave it the highest rating because it didn't pull any punches in showing how much smarter Lex is than Supes. The plan of leading Supes into the trap worked flawlessly, and it only failed because that thug didn't follow orders. A great scene that made a great ep.

Yeah, the jazz music was an odd, but welcome, change. Remeber the strange music from "Father's Day"? Anyway, this ep. was very cool. Just a great cartoon overall. A giant robot dinosaur! What could be better?

Another episode I gave 5 stars!

This was just a marvelous episode. It showed how relentless Luthor is at destroying Superman. I also liked how Mercy was portrayed. Yes, this ep was worthy of the 5 star rating, imo.

It's worthy of five stars to me, too. :) This ep had some great animation (the fight with the dinosaur was awesome!). And it was interesting seeing Superman's first reaction to kryptonite.

After not having seen this episode since the first time it aired on KWB, I have forgotten every aspect of this episode. It was like I am seeing this episode for the first time. I didn't like how Lois was able to toss the kryptonite into the iron cup with so much ease but other than that, no gripes. 4 out of 5 stars.

Looking at the CN scedule, it would appear that they are showing the episodes in semi-order, but they'll be skipping the 2 parter with Lobo and jumping to "My Girl" instead. I wonder why.

I've seen it before, but I didn't remember until Supes attempted to stop the robbery. It was an average episode, a nice introduction to kryptonite, but that's about it.

I didn't like it. It didn't hold my interest. It was pathetic to me. Also, I had Smallville storylines in my head while watching it.

Also, WHY WAS THERE A ROBOTIC DINOSAUR IN THE MUSEUM?!
Now that I think about it, I never like it when superheroes face weird dinosaurs like in batman "Mean Seasons" and X-Men: Evo "Shadow Dance." It just seems stupid, fake, and out of place.

Well, seeing as how there are some zoos, museums, etc. today that actually have robotic dinosaurs for exhibits to bring in kids, it is plausible that there would be a robot in the museum. And since the museum belonged to Lex, it is plausible that he would have rigged it up even moreso to his advantage. Being a museum attraction also explains why the dinosaur actually roared, since it would have been corny if Lex had made it capable of doing so just for its battle with Superman.

However, it seems if Superman had never existed, Lex would have still had that dinosaur built just to be "prepared," which still seems pretty corny. But still, the whole fight scene was rushed anyway, so there was little time to really care about how corny it was. :)

Good ideas, but it still seems too farfetched to me. I live in DC (the capital, not the comics) and don't think I've ever seen a robotic dino.

An entertaining episode. The scene where one of Luthor's men fires a gun that ties Superman up is a great distraction, but we know it wouldn't hold him.

Trust me, they have 'em. They had an exhibit one time at the Columbus Zoo, but that was years ago. Basically it was the typical "let's make giant hydrolic cranes and wrap rubber skin around them to look like dinosaurs." Very fake. Nothing so advanced and realistic like the one in the Superman episode (I can see all you CEO megalomaniacs out there taking a collective sigh of disappointment ;) ).

I was watching this episode on the new Superman cartoon DVD with the trivia track on and it mentioned some cool tidbits. Remember that robotic dinosaur Superman fought towards the end of the episode? The producers were originally going to have Clark give that dinosaur to Batman to put in his cave but they never animated it. I think that would've been pretty cool to see. The trivia track wasn't perfect however. It mentioned that Teen Titans shares the same continuity with Superman which I'm pretty sure it doesn't.

This is one of my favorite episodes of S:TAS Vol. 1

I did a nice job introducing Superman's weakness, Kryptonite, and Lex trying to exploit Superman knowing that he had the one thing that could annhilate Superman. I loved Lex in this episode, as he was so confident that he could beat Superman, he then ends up losing, and at the end he puts up the massive dig to find more Kryptonite.

The animation in this episode was great, from the Dinosaur fight in the museum, to Superman beating those crooks in the sky, it was all well done, and the music during the chase scene was also great.

The dialogue in this episode was great, Lois had some of the best lines, and they were brilliantly pulled off by Dana Delany, so props to her for such an amazing performance.

Great episode! *****

3 1/2 stars.

I liked this episode. The only thing that bugged me about it was the fact that these crooks with rocket packs could be paid enough by Lex Luthor to be willing to get beat up by Superman and then being jailed by the cops. Kryptonite or not.

Otherwise, most enjoyable.

A Little Piece of Home is a personal favorite. It well introduces Kryptonite into the series and further explores the rivalry between Superman and Luthor. :D

I liked this one as well... liked seeing Supes throw it into space at the end :-)

Is what the museum guide says true, that an ancient culture was wiped out by metal poisoning from utensils?

I gave it a 4.5/5, been a while since I watched it so rewatching it was more fun. I think its a superb way to introduce Kryptonite. Wasn't too keen on the jazz music though but still a great ep.
