View Full Version : Would you eat this?

It seems the latest trend in fast food is chillie. McDonalds, Rally's and others are sticking chillie on everything. There's chillie dogs, chillie cheese burgers, chillie double chese burgers, chillie fries and so on.
So my question Toonzone Cafe is would you eat a chillie pizza? You take a regular pizza and put hot steamy chillie on top of it. would anyone eat this? Does someone already eat this?
What's with the chillie on hamburgers? Has anyone had this?

I'll eat anything topped with good chile.

No, but then again, I don't even like most of that stuff regular. :(
That repeated spelling was good for a laugh, though. :D

My high school cafeteria used to serve "Mexican Pizza" on occasion. My friends loved it, but I didn't see the point (still ate it though).

I wouldn't mind chili on pizza. Then again, chili goes good on almost anything. ;)

More people like that kind of stuff than you are aware of. If the number falls to only a few people, they will stop making it.

Bring it on!
I am a chilli lovin' fiend! I'll eat anything with chilli on it. You put chilli on it, then it goes down my digestive system. I'd eat chilli ice cream if you gave it to me. Heck, I would probably eat a rock if it was covered with chilli :).

I don't like the sound of chile and pizza together at the same time...it sounds more like heartburn and ingestion to me.Though there is pizza with toppings of a hamburgar.

We once had a pizza thread and I had posted one recipie I had for a home made pizza. It's real easy to make, you can make it in just a few minutes. I call it Coney Island Pizza:
1 Boboli pizza crust or 2 personal size Boboli pizza crusts
Top it with your favorite chilli
Cut up hot dogs as you desire for additional toppings
Top with shredded cheddar. 8oz bag covers a full pizza crust well.
Cook in the oven for fifteen minutes or so. I use a pizza oven, but if you use a regular oven, 375º should be a good temp setting.
I've had this recipie for quite a while now and most people I work with think it's kinda gross, but it's actually good. Not much different than eating a chilli hot dog with cheddar cheese, but instead of having the ingredients on a hot dog bun, you have it on a Bobloi pizza crust.

Actually the fast food flyer which inspired this thread clearly refers to their chili products as chillie*insert name* Once I obtain another copy of the flyer I will be more than thrilled to scan it and post it for you. Your boorish attempt to humiliate me only serves to amuse me.

I would not eat chille on pizza and although I never liked chille much my good friend Watagashi would say that a radioactive chille dog is a treat (ewwwww)

Well I don't even really like chilly that much, and chilly pizza just sound gross.

I can deal with it every once in awhile on a hot dog. I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't caught up in this fad.

Now I have eaten bean dip on a burger...and I'll try anything once, as far as food goes. [breaks out the Calmacid and ties on bib] Chili and scrambled cheese eggs makes a great lunch, incidentally....

on a side note: living in south texas means you must be able to eat things that are extreme compared to other food stuffs. including hot hot sauce on ice cream once as a dare for $20. i'll eat nearly anything, especially if you pay me.

It's not a fad where I come from. I've been eating chile since I was a little kid. However, the kind we eat is most likely different from the kind you're talking about, like the kind that comes in a can; to me, that's "cowboy chile", and it's nowhere near as good as homemade ;) .

I eat Chili on my hot dogs and on Chili-Cheese Fries.. Honestly that's about the only times I eat it with anything other than by itself. I like chili, it's good but it's not a mixing food.. Yech Chili on Pizza ?

I thought about this, isn't there Mexican pizza? It's like the same thing. I saw it once when walking by the Tombstones. It looked like it had beans on it.

Tombstone's Mexican pizza is delicious, but better yet is Bernatello's Mexican pizza. That is to die for. Of course, Bernatellos makes a better frozen pizza than Tombstone anyday.
I wonder why you can't get Mexican pizzas from places like Pizza Hut and Papa Johns...or can you? I guess I've never seen it as an option to get one.

I'm not sure about PJ's, but I know Pizza Hut had a Mexican pizza at one time. I'm not sure if they still carry it, but 2 years ago when we went to a concert. My friends wanted to go there and I remember seeing it.
I've never heard of Bernatello's frozen pizza. Is that a local thing?

I think they are a midwest thing. They are distributed out of Minnesota. When I lived there, I got Bernatellos quite frequently. They do trickle down to Missouri, but the selection is sporadic and they only get one shelf at my local Hy Vee so they can no way carry all the varieties they have.

Hate to turn this into a pizza thread, but Old Chicago also has incredible pizza, tho I haven't eaten at one in forever. They don't have many locations and it's special trip when I do go to one.

Whould this chili pizza use pizza sauce as the base, or would it be standard chili sauce?
Brak Likes beans in his chili...

My school did that. It had sausage, cheddar cheese, and the pizza sauce was a bit spicier, I think. There was no chilli on it, tho. Nothing about it was really Mexican.
Over at Eat n' Park (and I'm sure other restaurants) we have something called a Taco Salad (not on the menu anymore at EnP, but we still carry it), and it's basically a salad with tortilla chips, shredded cheddar cheese, and a bunch of chilli. Some people opt to put sour cream on it as well. :(
I don't like chilli. Not my mom's, not anything. Don't like beans, or tomatoes, or the broth, or anything. It is ick to infinity.

My Coney Island Pizza would not use pizza sauce at all, but simply chili. Put the chili down on the crust, cut up hot dogs, and cheddar cheese.
