Wow. Pretty dull week. Not one change, even a minor one.

Logic would indicate they'd make the reveal this week.

Maybe we're all being played for suckers and they're going to reveal the new show is a creatively advertised Cleavland Show.

January 2010 was going to be the dullest month in AS history until they announced they had 3 anime, which made people freak out.

THE Kirk Thornton Bleach Recap Timer

Bleach 122: 0:36; this, sadly, will not count as it lacks the bane of Don_East's existence (or, at least one of them)
Bleach 123: 1:41; this, however, does count

Total number of recaps with Mr. Thornton in them: 9
Total length of recaps with Mr. Thornton in them: 00:18:43
Average length of recaps with Mr. Thornton in them: 02:04.67 [2/3 of a second, actually] [down 3 seconds and change]
Longest: 02:41
Shortest: 01:30
Median: 02:15 [actually the middle number, now; also down 2 seconds]

Hopefully, this week's 2 episodes will get us pass the 20-minute marker and give us enough recycled animation and voice-overs to physically replace one episode of Bleach.

Hopefully? :sweat:Yeah, hopefully. I have a morbid curiosity. I was thinking those marks would be crossed this week, but since it's been when they were on [as] when I last saw these eps, I forgot that 122 lacked Mr. Thornton. The real reason why the recappers attack Mr Thornton (Seriously, Ultrazord? Really??) is because the recaps Bleach give out take forever. Plus, near the end of the previous arc, I wanted to figure out how long these recaps are taking.

According to Humbug at the ASMB, legal wrangling is preventing the reveal of the show. So it's a safe bet we're not talking IY or FMA.

I wonder what it is, then. It could be just about anything, couldn't it?

Humbug did drop a (crappy/vague) hint: "There's a person in it with a thing that she/he goes around doing stuff with."

Sounds like Soul Eater, since it's about a hero and a weapon.

It could be but at the same time thats some what vague.

Well it sounds like a "walk the Earth" esque shounen, not so much Eden or Sengoku Basara or Shin Mazinger.

I'm still thinking it might just be Cleveland or a new Perfect Hair-esque mocking (since parodies are funny). I want to hear "PUT YA GUNZ ON!"

Maybe it sounds out of range, but i put my bet on Kekkaishi.
I've started recently watched it on Friday, but it has "thing that she/he goes around doing stuff with."

But still...i'll wait:anime:

I'm actually calling it as FMA: Brotherhood. Couldn't Alphonse count as a "thing"? Doesn't Ed go around doing stuff?

Wouldn't FMA, being a cult hit, warrant...well a LOT more advertisement? I can't see them waiting till the last second on it.

It's not quite the last second yet, though. The week before the premiere would be last second (i.e. every anime since Blood+). We are approaching last minute territory though.

Well it depends on the show, but two of the potential choices would almost require restarting their hype trains. It'd be easy.

"You liked it.

Your psycho ex-girlfriend loved it

We...tolerate it.

And now it's back, to finish what it started. No more filler, no more do-overs. Just the final act."

We are approaching last minute territory though. At least for the other shows, they were announced in advance or shown on the schedule a month before. This show premieres in two weeks and nobody even knows what it is yet.

Sounds like Soul Eater to me. Can't think of many other shows that fit that description.

Also put me down for soul eater. The wide specification of he/she as opposed to just "he" hints towrds it.

Also, AS should have figured out by now that Shonen series are where the ratings are for them, especially if they can`t take any fanservice.

Hopefully we get an OP/Bleach Power hour somewhere down the line.
