I was wondering who here on Toonzone has a blog?

I created one to talk about current events.

What do you think of mine?: blogbysimpsonsfan.blogspot.com (http://blogbysimpsonsfan.blogspot.com/)

I don't, but I've been thinking about starting one. I enjoy being on the message boards, but I've been doing this for a while now, and I've been wanting to try something different, looking for other ways to state my opinions and express myself artistically and so forth.

You know something I've noticed? Most people who go on shooting rampages or try to blow up planes or kill kids or something have blogs. The media is always able to go look at their blog to find their angry blog posts about how the world is out to get them. I was reading something on CNN today about how people who want to "take people down with them" instead of simply commit suicide have narcissistic personalities that cause them to externalize and blame others for their failings and shortcomings. That type of person, the kind of person who has a strong feeling of being the center of his own universe, would certainly be more likely to have a blog, and also to post bitter comments about things they hate on message boards.

I've read a few blogs, and in their defense, not all bloggers are psychos. Yes, there are some blogs that are headquarters for extremists, but there are some good ones out there also.

No, it's not that all bloggers are psychos, it just seems like that lately almost all psychos are bloggers. There's something about the narcissism of having a personal blog to shout your viewpoints at the world that attracts them, they probably Twitter, too.

I'm not a psycho. (http://bssmlogblog.blogspot.com/)

For the curious, mine's just me going though the entire "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" anime while making a lot of little observations and comments on each episode/specials and whatnot.

But I doubt the interest is there...

You can't know for sure you're not a psycho. If you're aware that your delusions aren't real then you by definition aren't psychotic, because psychosis is a loss of contact with reality. There's no way for you, from inside your own head, to know that you don't have delusions that you believe are real even though they aren't. We could all be psychotic and just not know it.

Does Live Journal count?

Yeah, Live Journal can count.

Then yes I do. Although I have not updated it in about a month or so...

Here's my blog, http://gratiaegracewen.blogspot.com, where I go on a crazy rampage of flower arranging and paper crafting. The media can look to my blog and see a narcissistic decorator who thinks she does it better than what's offered at Wal-Mart, and externalize and blame Hallmark for tackiness and kitche. I'm the type of person who has a strong feeling of personalizing everything, and leaving my stamp everywhere in the universe.:p

I don't have a Blogspot or Livejournal blog, but I do have a blog on the anime boards at www.mania.com, which I usually use for regular blogging purposes (although most of my posts are anime-related, given the fact that its part of anime message board).

We have a blog showcasing art and content from our animated series, Scottish Ninjas (http://www.scottishninjas.com).

I also have a personal blog showcasing my various bicycle projects with before and after pictures of old bicycles refurbished into new classics rides again. It's called Cycle Spa (http://www.cyclespa.blogspot.com/).

I'd thought about starting an MMA blog, but there's hundreds out there that already do a better job than I ever could. I'll stick to posting my useless opinions on message boards.

I have a blog, though I usually use it to say "I have a new review up". I host my movie reviews on my own website. A lot of people just use wordpress for this, but I find something fun in doing web pages (though changing every page when you add a button or copyright can be a pain :p)

I used to have a LiveJournal and used it frequently from 2005-2008. But I went all of 2009 without updating it, and as a result the novelty of using it wore off. (I'm now in the process of deleting many old posts and saving some of the stuff I'd like to keep.)

Oh, yeah, I know what's that like. Haha!! Once my own websites started expanding, I ended up keeping all the main links and such just on the main page, and gave every individual page a link back to the main page or an index. Much easier that way. :)

I think there's something about this in my signature... XD

Blogspot's kind of a placeholder for a somewhat more professional portfolio that is NOT DeviantArt (which is a lovely gallery site that has an unfortunately bad reputation amongst people seeking to hire artists).

LiveJournal is day to day ramblings. I post sketches and stuff there.

DeviantArt is pretty much just a dumping ground for art - I rarely use the journal there.

So in case you were wondering about those world domination plans, psychotic ramblings and disturbing doodles, those would be on LiveJournal. :zim:

I have one as well, the only problem is that I rarely use it. I might turn it into something else leaning more towards my interest.

I've got one, but I don't really use it to give my opinions on stuff. It's more devoted to animation and stock music identification. Call it a "fact" blog, if you will. Read it here (http://speedyboris.blogspot.com).

Sections of interest:
-Ren & Stimpy APM stock music guides for each episode
-Rocko and SpongeBob APM master lists
-Tiny Toon animator identifications (hasn't been updated in a while, though)
-Looney Tunes animator breakdowns (just started these)
-various animation studios guides moved from my old freewebs site
-Popular songs used in Tiny Toons and Animaniacs
-Gex (video game character) quotes

There's more, of course, but that's a good start.

Luckily this doesn't happen too often. Though I believe there are programs out there that will replace a phrase in each of your pages if you need to change lots of them.

Look down at my signature, and try to make a good guess. :D

On Fridays, I do a weekly news podcast. On Saturdays, I do a weekly animation column. On Sundays, I do a news post. I also do bi-weekly book reviews. All this and cake can be found at www.tomatothoughts.blogspot.com (http://www.tomatothoughts.blogspot.com)!

I wouldn't say I'm psychotic, either, but I do have an admittedly big ego.

Eh...same.

I've had easy access to blogging for the past few months, but I don't see any point in it unless I was a reporter. And I don't feel like dressing up like a giant bat and scaring con VIPs into giving me information, so I have nothing to work with.

My blog (myvioletsunday.blogspot.com) is a bit of a mix between a personal blog, art blog and review blog. I recently updated it with a podcast a friend and I did to explain a series we're in the works of creating. =]

I'd read your blog dude, you seem to have a pretty good grip on reality and your posts show your passion for the medium, I'd read it in a heartbeat. I have a blog based on animation, there is a link in my signiture to it, I only have two posts but it will grow with time like with anything.

Nice, man. I'm liking what you've got so far.

I'm plotting out what my blog will be like. I'll start working on it as soon as I have some free time.

Just a foundation for cruddy comics, brief trips to Memory Lane (like my latest), and just talking about cartoons I like, or any other subject whenever I feel like it. But, it's mostly meant for the comic ideas (Slam & Kasey, Severin-Boy, Sorceress of Severinski, etc).

I have one, mostly using it for blowing off steam but I haven't used it lately. I think I might retool it for something that truly interests me down the line, but I can't seem to think of a single subject that I feel passionate about.

I have one on Livejournal (this February marks my 6th anniversary of blogging there), but it's private and I don't add anyone any longer.

I blog elsewhere too, but I'm more active on Twitter and Facebook these days. Both of those can be found either in my signature or profile.

In your dashboard, select edit posts, then choose which entry to edit. You can change every detail of each post if you needed to.
