In the talkback for the "Fun With Lasers" episode of Iron Man: Armored Adventures, I remarked:

Is it just me, or was Fury a bigger jerk here than he was on Wolverine and the X-Men?

To which Rick Jones replied:

I thought he was a way bigger jerk in Wolverine's show. Here, his jerkiness was sort of justified as he was doing what he thought was necessary to protect New York. On Wolverine And The X-Men, he was about as manipulative as guys like Sinister and Magneto, though he's supposedly one of the good guys. Banner and Wolverine were just tools to accomplish his own goals.

So, I've been thinking of doing this thread for a chance for you guys to weigh in. Maybe, like me, you think Nick was a bigger jerk on IM:AA. Maybe, like Rick, you thought he was a bigger jerk on WatX-M. Or maybe you thought a different animated Nick Fury was a bigger jerk.

Either way, here's where you can weigh in.

In his appearance in WatXM, he didn't seem to be accomplishing anything except some sort of cover-up. Not particularly admirable. I haven't seen IM:AA yet, but based on the quote from that thread, it seemed Fury was actually trying to save more than his own skin.

Based on that logic, I'll have to vote for WatXM's version of Fury.

Definitely the WatXm version.

I have to agree with mostly everybody else here and pick the WaTXM version. I didn't really care for him at all to be honest, too big of a jerk for Nick Fury. Out of the two I prefer the IM:AA version.

Both of them are jerks but at least you can justify what Armored Adventures Fury does as "For the greater good" He's willing to do anything to prevent Living Lazer from destroying cities using the shield satalite.
