Nice way to hook me to read this... as its not retailers, just a retailer.

Makes no sense for the BD since Japan and America share the same region code (A). Not to mention most (almost all) of Funimation's BDs are DNR'ed to heck so they aren't worth importing. I can see where it'd make a little sense DVD-wise, but still -- DVD sales have dropped off quite a bit in Japan while remaining fairly strong here.

It's all about Japan's insane prices, actually. In Japan, you get two episodes for 60$. In R1, you get a complete series for that price. :sweat:

I'm well aware of that as I import series because the majority of R1 (i.e. Funimation and Viz) really no longer gets series that are to my taste.

For DVDs, yes. For BDs (Blu-ray Discs) Japan is Region A, same as US.

Cool, I guess. It sucks that Japan has to pay so much more for so much less, but the less reverse-importing, the more likely Japan is to let FUNi get the good stuff.
