Next weekends schedule for American Heroes weekend looks good and the promo 'Toon is airing looks great, my only complaint is they managed to slither in Johnny Test which makes me mad because he does not fit the mold of a standard hero and the show is Canadian, not American. Why must 'Toon push Johnny Test on us like a desperate salesman, it's getting annoying how Johhny just be inserted into everything that is good on the network, what's next, a midnight run on Adult Swim...?

There's a promo for it? I'm surprised I haven't seen it yet.

Because we can. Get used to it.

LoL, is that sarcasm? It's been airing during almost every commercial break today, it looks pretty cool too, aside from Johnny Test and Spy Kids....

I know, I think JT is a little underrated, it's preety funny. It's just that it used to take up a lot of timeslots so people are a little sour about that.

Wasn't airing during a commercial break since I've been watching SHS. Maybe when I'll be watching TSS I'll catch it.

Omg, here we go with the internet sarcasm..this is the INTERNET you cannot tell whether people are being sarcastic...

What Is So Bad About JT

A lot of people don't like it because it's loud, obnoxious, and the animation's not good.
Plus it airs a lot. Which is understandable since it's one of CN's most popular shows.

I do find it funny sometimes.

Bathtime for Johnny is hilarious.

The only issue I have with Johnny Test is that it has absolutely no reason to be part of the You Are Here line-up, while The Secret Saturdays is left out in the cold the following night.

The promo has some cool music and it basicly shows a bunch of scenes from different action based shows that air on CN, oh.....and Johnny Test. At least we will get a healthy dose of Batman and the new Green Lantern film, thats a huge plus at the very least.

It's got nothing to do with desperation. Johnny Test put butts in seats. Popular shows get run a lot.

Anyway, normally I would say that JT doesn't belong on such a theme weekend for the same reason that it doesn't belong on You Are Here: because it's a comedy show, not an action show. However, the title character has assumed a superhero persona in 5 episodes as 'Johnny X', so in that regard, it skates by on a technicality. As long as Toon only shows the Johnny X shorts, then it fits the theme.

As for JT's "not being American", Test began as an American/Canadian co-production; it didn't become a completely Canadian production until its' second season. And if we're really going to nitpick, many of the so-called 'American' shows are animated overseas, so what really constitutes an 'American cartoon' anyway?

Johnny Test isn't a horrible show; it has some funny moments. However:

- The main character is a typical immature and obnoxious child archetype.
- The animation seems to get worse as the episodes progress.
- Even if JT is a good show and even if its popular, it doesn't justify the way Toon seizes every opportunity to air it where it doesn't belong. I guess I'm not as mad that it's airing on this event because it's not really specifically advertised as an action event (though it's clearly emanating that sort of theme), but it's place on YAH is completely unjustifiable for the same reason. Also, Clone Wars and Total Drama are more popular than Johnny Test on the network. Total Drama is currently not airing on the network and Clone Wars has far less airings than Johnny Test.

Anyways, this looks like a cool event. American Heroes (Or American Toon Heroes or something along those lines) sounds like a good name for a superhero block, too.

Heh, if I hear American heroes weekend I'd think Clint Eastwood marathon saturday, Bruce Willis Sunday. Honestly it's not like Ben 10 is a patriotic show and the clone wars doesn't mention earth, let alone America. So while I do believe JT should be replaced by TSS on YAH it shouldn't be because it's not American (Jay Stephens is canadian for pete's sake). Hopefully generator Rex replaces it when it comes out. (JT belongs on HHT)

I guess your right, but it still does not make it any less painful having to see Johnny Test even more than I do already. I try to avoid it but it just seems to pop up everywhere, it's like a bad ex-girlfriend that won't leave you alone, know what I mean? Anyhow, the rest of the event will
be enjoyable aside from Test and Spy Kids 2 or whatever that cheesy looking live action film they showed was, I'm looking forward to GL and Batman the most.

I would rather see more Kids Next Door or perhaps The Secret Saturdays in place of Johnny Test this coming weekend. I mean, I love the show but I think it already gets enough air time.

Johnny Test, for what it's worth, appears to take place in the US, or at the very least had an episode in which the two secret agents were casually tossed out of the US oval office by the last president.

So yeah, although made in Canada, that doesn't say anything about the location.

I find the show fun to watch. The dog's a riot. And that means something coming from me, since I have a strong dislike of dogs. Maybe I'm the only one, but it's good for a laugh when nothing else is on.

Since they have JT and it's a Canadian show, it should be American (and Canadian) Heroes Weekend.

But by all appearances Test takes place in America. Therefore it makes no sense to single the show out just because of what country produces it.

Trust me, nobody outside of internet message boards cares that Johnny Test is a Canadian produced show.

Some folks on this thread are making much too big a deal out of Test's inclusion on this marathon. As long as they only show the Johnny X episodes, it's not an issue. I'm more annoyed with the presence of Spy Kids on the marathon than Johnny Test. Test is at least a cartoon.

As long as they have shows like: TSS, Ben 10: Alien Force etc.., I couldn't careless about that JT show.

Only American/international show with Canadian actors I liked was Gundam (specifically MS Gundam 00 - Double-0).
