At the end of Cowboy Bebop's 26 week run should cn replay the series again? I'm Not sure.

I'd say yes. But no more than one more run after the current.

Depends.

If ASA has some quality adult shows by then, sure. These episodes are now airing for the 5th time (except for the ones not on the first run, which it will be their third). Its certainly got its share of airings.

If its the same kiddie lineup as it is now, removing the only adult show would be devestating. If thats the case, keep it exactly where it is.

I think one more run would be the limit for now. I think after that they should just give the show a break for a while (provided the schedule improves, as Sheamon said). They could then bring it back after X months, and it would probably be a welcome return by then.

This kind of thing has to be handled carefully. Unfortunately, CN hasn't been too good with this kind of stuff on Toonami. Let's hope they learned from their mistakes.

Hell yes, it's about the only thing worth watching on Saturday. And I'm still pissed they took it off Thursday.

[indent]I see it running indefinitely for now. It takes time and money to acquire new shows. Likely the first shows to be replaced would be Tenchi and Outlaw Star, folloed by Pilot Candidate and Gundam 0083. After all of those are replaced then they would probably look towards giving Cowboy Bebop a break since those are currently not edited to Adult Swim standards for the most part. Sure, it will have been on quite awhile, but it is only 1/6 of the block. Also, now that it is only on once a week episodes will only repeat twice a year.

Yeah, good point. It seems everyone is in agreement about ASA eventually changing, but we have to remember that this change isn't going to come all that quickly. And, when the changes begin, they won't all happen at once. The shows will slowly be replaced, one by one, as CN aquires replacements.

With each episode only being repeated twice a year at this rate, this can prevent people from getting sick of the series. However, it may not prevent them from getting bored with it. For many people, it offers "nothing new." And while they may enjoy it, that may not be enough to keep them watching it on TV.

The lineup needs to grow stronger before they exhaust the few quality programs they have.

One more time is cool with me.

They should go out with a bang by just showing it off the DVD uncut for the last airing!

another run would be cool now that they are only showing one episode a week it will last a lot longer and i think it is the show that a first time viewer of adult swim is like whoa! and it brings them back plus with the dvd sales for bebop increasing the majority of people haven't seen it five times already i think they should keep it going as long as need be and even after seeing a session for the fifth time i still enjoy it they should deft not rush it off the air

I think they should keep running it because unfortunatly, I don't get cartoon network over in my college and I missed most of the eps. I get cartoon network in my home though.

This topic is like, a month old. Isn't it against the rules to bring up old topics?

considering the fact that i missed some episodes and i dont own the Box Set. yes they should show it again just once, unless i miss more episodes, then they should show it a thrid time.

I bet it will be the SGC2C of the block. Insanely popular in the beginning, gradually moving later and later in the block, and eventually dissapearing. I bet it'll be until June 2003 before its off the block for a good reason (terrorist attacks, parental complaints, and double airings of other shows don't count).

I think everyone's neglecting the obvious. ASA must be extended in the near future. Although I'm quite satisfied w/ a three hour block of anime, I'm not happy w/ watching a series one episode per week. Either start the block an hour earlier, and up it to four hours so you can run some shows back to back or give ASA a smaller, two hour Friday block for larger series, reruns, and movies and keep the Saturday block featuring the same crap we have now :P

I say Bebop will be the last show to leave. Tenchi is on it's way out already, then OS if Inu airs, then PC because it's the worst show on the block, then 0083 because it will have aired 4 times by then, and finally Bebop.

I love Cowboy Bebop, and would continue watching it repeat after repeat. I would have no objection to it being taken off, as long as it was replaced by something new, and as mature as it was.

Maybe they should do a daily Adult Swim thing after Toonami's Midnight Run, with a bunch of old reruns, since that's whats on at that time anyway. Even though I have to wake up at 7:15 each morning for school, I'd stay up till one to watch it. Right now, I just watch Late Night with Conan O'Brien, anyway.
