Here's a new project I'm starting.... doing my own fun versions of some of my favorite Saturday Morning Shows....
LAND OF THE LOST: "Watch Out For The Sleestaks"
This show was way cool, "Lost" before there was a "Lost." Even though I always hated Cha-Ka!

THE IMPOSSIBLES: "In Between Gigs"
The Impossibles were a trio of rock'n'roll musicians, who did the super-powered crime-fighter gig in their spare time. What's not to love?

THE WONDER TWINS: "Activate!"
Zan and Jayna revamped for the 21st century.

JONNY QUEST: "Mission Prep"
This is a revamp of the Jonny Quest series, kinda combining some elements of the 60s series and the 90s series.
Jonny is more or less the same; I didn't want to mess with his look too much; Hadji is a little more acculturated (the biggest change is the loss of the turban); Race is bigger and broader, like an action hero; And Benton looks a little more like a college professor.

I didn't include Jessie. But I may still do another "revamp" image with Jonny, Hadji and Jessie, OK?

If thees are made into cartoons agains....
The Impossibles should be an Alt-Rock or Indie band.
Zan and Jayna should be Boyfriend/Girlfriend and not siblings. They should have offensive and not stupid powers like turning into a bucket of ice.
Nice stuff! Can you do the super hero show where the boy had a giant robot. I forgot it's name but it came on Boomerang in 2006.

Race Bannon and "Jezebel" Jade "Love and Bullets"
Here's another entry into my revamp of Jonny Quest characters. This one features Race Bannon and the mysterious femme fatale, "Jezebel" Jade. It's funny, Jade never made many appearances, but she made quite an impression. For a female character created for a 60s toon, Jade was remarkably sexy, wily and tough. I really wanted to capture the romantic tension between Race and Jade here.

Good Ol' Batmanuel!

A great idea well executed! I'm going to keep a close eye on this thread. Maybe you'll do one of my favorites sometime. :)

What do you ink with?

Dudley, I ink with Prismacolor marker pens of various weights and brushes. Usually a .01 to .05 for detailed work, and then .08 and brushes for hard lines and black areas.
Here's the next one:
The Archies: "Gimme Some Sugar, Sugar"
Yes, Archie started as a comic book, but when the comics were selling in the millions (Really!), Filmation made a cartoon in the early 70s, which strongly featured "The Archies" band. They even released a few singles! Here's the gang updated: Archie looks a little more hip. Jughead differs the most (what was up with his weird crown-hat?). I made him into a surfer-stoner dude. Reggie, Betty & Veronica didn't require much updating at all, except fashion-wise. Can't you taste the love so sweet?

She Ra: "For The Honor Of Greyskull"
Here's He-Man's twin sister with a little bit of a revamp. She-Ra is more or less the same, but her alter-ego, Adora, got a little bit of an update here.

SMALL WONDER: "Download In Progress"
Remember this kid-com, that revolved around V.I.C.I. (that's an acronym for "Voice Input Child Identicant," by the by), a robot girl who became a member of the Lawson family? And yep, it aired Saturday mornings in the late 80s. Here's an update, where Vicki actually gets to wear something other than that red Victorian-era dress. Her "brother" Jamie is here as well, along with nosy neighbor Harriet (that girl needed to learn some boundaries).

THUNDARR: "Night Of The Demon Dogs"
"The year: 1994. From out of space comes a runaway planet, hurdling between the Earth and the Moon, unleashing cosmic destruction..." Hmm, I just remember 1994 having a lot of flannel and coffee shops. This, of course, was the world of Thundarr, The Barbarian. Along with Oolka the Mok and Princess Ariel, Thundarr fought Mad-Max-ish villainy every Saturday Morning. This show lasted exactly one season, but it's still fondly remembered. I didn't update much here -- just kinda drew 'em in my style.

Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends: "Chillin' In The Crime Lab"
Ah, the Spider-Friends. One of my favorite cartoons as a kid... probably because Spider-Man, Iceman and Firestar were so much cooler and funnier than the Superfriends. And remember how their apartment converted into a high-tech crime lab with the twist of that football trophy? Well, here it is -- the Spidey Pals - Pete, Bobby, Angelica and even Ms. Lion - in their civvies. I took the character designs from the show and gave 'em some more modern looks. Spider Friends.... go for it.

JEANNIE: "Hang Ten, Master"
Sure, everyone remembers "I Dream of Jeannie," the 60s sit-com starring Barbara Eden and Harry Hagman. But there was also a 70s cartoon based on the show, simply titled "Jeannie," where Jeannie's powers weren't activated by a blink, but with a whip of her ponytail. Jeannie's master wasn't stiff Major Nelson either, he was a surfer named Cory. His best friend was a Roger-Healy-meets-Shaggy entity known as Henry. Then there was Baboo, the genie in training that often messed up his spells. Anyway, here they all are, updated for a new generation! As Baboo would say.... Yabble-Dabble!
