Here’s a quick sketch of Marvel’s first family. I’ve actually never drawn the Thing before. I found him to be an interesting challenge. Thanks for looking.

Furious

Pretty good, though I think the Thing seems too thin, which in turn makes him 'feel' too tall. The line work on the Thing, however, is rockin'!

Nice job!

Thanks for the post. You know, you're right. I was wondering what seemed so akward about this. The Thing seems to be too tall and thin. I am going to revist this piece, and I will definately correct my Thing issues.

Cheers,
Furious

Nice work!

I like your Mr. Fantastic. The head looks especially good!

Sue looks pretty good. Her torso looks nice, but her hair looks a little "off".

Human Torch looks pretty good, but his pose seems a little stiff. Try and get some of that Jonny Storm swagger in there. Look at some photo reference to get the right pose down.

The Thing needs a little work, as he just doesnt look like Ben. He should be bulkier and his brow should also protrude more; He's a very tricky character to draw.

I would also work on composition a bit to make it more dynamic. Reed's hand placement is a little weird, and Jonny looks like he was added in later; Work on how the body shapes work off each other within the image, rather than seeming independent. I like the interaction of Reed & Sue, but I feel Thing and Jonny could be flanked more interestingly; Or maybe Jonny could be making a fiery "4" symbol in the background.... Also, sometimes its better to put the bigger characters like Ben in the background, rather than a character like Jonny; You actually put the BIGGEST character in the foreground, which you may not want to do, unless you want to REALLY focus on him!

Keep going, man, I see some nice style choices in your work!
