There is another board listed at the top besides What Aired Today and Fun & Games. No posting is allowed there. It features posts by members I have never heard of. What is it?

This is a newsgroup, but is it the newsgroup that I ALWAYS hear bad things about? You know, the one with people bashing the heck out of Chuck Jones, just because he didn't direct his films like Bob Clampett?

Yes, alt.animation.warner-bros is a Usenet Newsgroup. I am not really keen on the idea of it being right here on the TTTP. I stopped regularly reading and posting to it a couple years ago. I prefer the TTTP. However, Brian has been experimenting with adding newsgroups to Toon Zone Forums. So, here it is...

Is it probaly for banned members or guest members? I am not right where posting on this board.
The people who post there are not members of Toon Zone forums, most of them probably don't even know we can read their newsgroup from here.

I wouldn't write off either alt.animation.warner-bros or rec.arts.animation based just on second-hand opinion. Some pretty knowledgeable people contribute regularly. At the moment, you can read stuff from Mark Evanier and Joe Alaskey, for example.

I've been testing out a newsgroup add-on for many months now. I decided to make alt.animation.warner-bros visable to you guys because it's a relatively low traffic group that doesn't contain much spam or other annoying things. I'll move it out of here if you guys really want me to, but I hope you at least give it a chance. In case you haven't noticed, many TTTP people post there, like Paul Penna, Matthew Hunter, Jack (as "Super Rabbit") and myself.
You can't post in it from here yet because I'm still testing that part. But hopefully you can in a few days.
I like being able to read it from here, the posts show up as organized threads, and new posts show up almost instantly (they used to take one or more days to show up).

I have posted there several times, but not as regularly as I do here because it's so inconveniant to get to and use. With this setup, maybe that problem will fix itself.

I like it. It's really interesting to read.
