Walt Disney will release Song of the South to DVD in the fall of 2006, according to Jim Hill Media (http://www.jimhillmedia.com/mb/articles/showarticle.php?ID=1313). The release will be packed with extras that will put the film in historical context in an attempt to head off possible criticism from African-American groups. The release might include the rarely seen "John Henry" short as a special feature.
