Check it out! For those that care and liked the 80's series and can remeber it well, what do you think of the new look? Now this is only a statue that will be sold at Comic Con only. The look of the statue is from the figures that will also be debuted at Comic Con as well. On July 19th we should be able to see what Skeleotor and the rest of the MOTU characters look like! To see it and close up pics go too... www.mastersoftheuniverse.com

This came from Mattel and was posted on He-Man.org

"Next Spring, Mattel will launch a new line of figures, recreating the storyline we all know and love. That's right -- no wacky misadventures on Primus. These new figures, sculpted by the Four Horsemen but not in the MacFarlane hyper-detailed style, will debut on July 19th at the San Diego Comic Con, as well as on the new MastersOfTheUniverse.Com, which should launch sometime later today. MastersOfTheUniverse.com is Mattel's official MOTU site, which will include some design sketches for the new line, the re-releases, and a very special 2-up limited edition cold cast that will only be available at the con! Look forward to additional images right here at he-man.org in the not-too-distant future as well.

For anyone planning on attending the convention in San Diego, the Mattel display will be at booth 2917 (between Starbucks and Dreamworks), where you'll find preliminary sketches and concept designs, the exclusive 2-Up cold cast statue (limited to 500!), and a sneak peek at the actual figures slated for release next Spring. The Four Horsemen, as well as Ken Kelly, an artist contributing his talents to a new poster, will be at the booth. Representatives from Mattel will be on hand too.

You might be wondering how this will affect any re-releases. Well, the six figures slated for this Fall are still coming, not to mention another new five-pack including a soon-to-be-announced exclusive figure. Keep your eyes on he-man.org for the latest. After these assortments, Mattel will be concentrating heavily on the new line, but don't be surprised if more re-releases pop up sometime afterwards.

With this news, it's natural to wonder if there'll be a corresponding cartoon. There hasn't been any official word yet, but Lou Scheimer Productions, the company many of you wrote to in support of a new series, has a meeting in the works with Mattel. Keep your fingers crossed!

Expect to see a lot more in upcoming months from MastersOfTheUniverse.Com and your pals here at he-man.org! Many, many thanks to Mattel for the heads-up, as well as the tireless JVS3 for compiling all this information."

The lastest from Lou Scheimer is that he is talking to and getting together original voice actors and animators from the first series to help show Mattel that they want to do the new series and also to be ready to go WHEN (I hope) Mattel gives the word.

Pretty damn sweet for us He-Man fans!

The potential creator of the hope to be cartoon wants to incorporate her into the show, but there is no news if She-Ra will be apart of the new toy line, at least not within the first wave. The first wave will consist of 8 to 10 figures which will again be debuted at the Comic Con July 19th.

I don't know of any links yet. I tried right clicking on the pics to save them, but Mattel has it so you can't do that. I'll keep looking.

I find if you can refresh the page and right click in time you can catch the image before the block code takes place (only works on java HTML code however....)
