Zixx Phunkee Zee, Flanngo, and a host of humans from suburbia have, if you've been watching the show up in moose country or reading the reviews here on Toon Zone, been defending the planet from an alien threat. Their battleground is not just their streets, but The Keep, a digital world accessible by portals. But the portals are disappearing, and that's not the only thing unraveling. The Canadian version of Mystique is revealed in "Now You See Him", the fourth episode of Zixx: Level Two.

Zixx has the potential to become a sleeper hit here. Nobody has heard of it, but those that have find it interesting. Who knows, maybe in Canada it's a huge hit. Seeing episodes like this do make it a mystery of Justice League Unlimited proportions. Not implying anything, but note that JLU is on the fast track to cancellation.

Last episode, we were introduced to the mysterious Mark O. With ties to Riley, apparently, he's now proven to be a threat in the world of The Keep. He also appears to be more than meets the eye, but the heroes will have to deal with a creepy librarian, a hot-yet-evil sitter and a man channeling the watcher of Buffy lore, and they'll have to save Zixx from certain doom and deal with "Danger Dwayne".

From what little of the course we've seen, this episode is par for it. We get a little more mystery surrounding the enemies, while not much more fleshing out of the characters. There's always good humor, especially if you're annoyed by Dwayne up to this point. Meghan actually gets some good action this time around, and Riley seems to take a relative backseat to her antics. Zixx is barely around, which is odd for the titular character.

If you're in Canada, watch this. If not, you're out of luck. Bug a DVD company, for some reason I want to guess Anchor Bay, to release it on DVD.
