MTV Networks has named Jason Hirschhorn to the new post of Chief Digital Officer to lead the music-television network's digital businesses and strategy, the company announced on Thursday.
Hirschhorn, who was previously Senior Vice President of digital music and media, will now be responsible for developing MTV's strategy for growing its brands -- including the music, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and Spike channels -- across digital platforms. He will also coordinate the business, product development and technical operations of MTV's digital media businesses, while overseeing new acquisitions in the area.
