Last month, Batman Beyond #22 sold a nice healthy 13, 600 (estimated), ahead of Gotham Adventures by about 200 to 400. This month, it takes a huge dip down to 10,918. Why? Likely becuase interest has dissapated with the announcement of the cancellation. Meanwhile, Gotham Adventures has held it's ground and Superman Adventures continues to slip. I got more info on the newspage.

or it's because none of my comic shops ordered them around here, and neither did many of anybody elses! My Meijer stopped buying Gotham Adventures with issue #18! (which, BTW, they still have!) I think it's #18 anyway..it's the "Madness at the hands of the Joker" issue....

That Joker one is actually issue #31. Issue #40 just came out. My comic guy told me one time, I'm the only custumoer who gets the BATMAN BEYOND comic, but a healthy amount pick up GOTHAM ADVENTURES.

I hate to say it, but I don't miss having to order Batman Beyond now. It's hard to miss a comic that wasn't that good to begin with. Such a shame. DC needs to give this book another go around with REAL talent! Like BADER AND VOKES! ha! just kidding.

I'm hoping that a bunch of BATMAN BEYOND fans will return to pick up issue 23 later this month. It's my first DC work to see print and, as a fan of the cartoon myself, I think it's a story that other fans will like a lot.

Once #23 does hit the stands, I trust that you folks will let me know what you think of it.

It's almost impossible to find where I live.

My comic store wouldn't order BATMAN BEYOND if I didn't have it on a puill list. It's a darn shame, too. We finally get some good writing talent on the title, and people are running away. Hopefully that'll change.

This is how DC put it in the solicitation:

"There's a new "King" in town, and he's putting together a new Royal Flush Gang. Is Batman playing with a full deck when he asks "Ten" to help him take down this dangerous and motley crew?"

That covers most of what I'm willing to reveal upfront.

Speaking of "upfront" -- in addition to the usual nifty interior art of Craig Rousseau, BATMAN BEYOND has a dynamite cover by BB animator Darwyn Cooke.
