If the Joker had done it earlier, it would have been Dick on the table and not Tim. Don't you think that would've scared him?

Actually I think that it couldn't have happend to Dick, Tim was just too young and I blame Batman for what happend, he should have realized that Tim was too young not mature enough to become Robin. I think that the scene when Tim got knocked out by Harley was pretty unrealistic, if you're in such a business as Robin was you know that you shouldn't trust anyone, not even an innocent looking woman.

In my opinion Dick would have reacted the same way.

yeah, i think dick wouls have that whole "i told ya so" look at this situation. and rightfully so. if batman had known that the joker was on the loose, he shouldn't have let tim go out on his own, send barbara out with him at least. batman's partially to blame, though the guilt he feels for what happened was more than enough "punishment", for lack of a better word, than anyone should have to take. seeing as dick and bruce probably split on bad terms, i can see dick react in this way...

I agree. Which just gives me an idea for a short story... Dick blaming Batman for endangering Tim's life, that sounds pretty cool to me.

They kind of alluded to Nightwing in that movie. The older Barbara Gorden tells Terry to see Nightwing sometime as he has some stories. I think Bruce and Dick parted ways several times. Dick even talks to Tim in the episode "Old Wounds" about how they grew apart. I can only imagine they bickered and fought many more times as Dick struck out on his own.

Plus, the Bruce Wayne from the Timmverse became much more of a jerk as he got older specifically when he joined the Justice League. It would be much harder to hold your tongue hanging around with that version of Batman for any length of time.
