what is the ratings count?

Can't give you numbers on how well Digimon is doing, but apparently ratings have been so good that Disney bought the rights for the series (Including Season 4! YES!) and plans to air both the older series on ABC Family(which is currently airing Season 1 reruns up to the Myotismon saga) and plain ol' ABC (No one knows if it'll wave the 1-Saturday Morning flag along with Teamo Supremo and Disney's other homebrewed shows though-here's to praying that that won't be the case!).

And of course there's always the action figures (Damn you, Cyberdramon, where are you?! I've seen you once-why can't I find you again?!), the Dairy Queen plushies, the card game (how is THAT doing ratings-wise, I ask?), the Playstation games and all those other assorted toys out there.

So yeah, its doing ok. Not Pokemon-sized greatness in terms of popularity, but it definately has its cult following and the like, so chances are that as long as they keep the shows fresh and the Digimon cool, they'll be around for a while.


Hey, I named myself after a bit-player dinosaur-like Champion with two heads for hands! Even if the show was unsusesful, there's still one fan out there! :D :D :D

In my personal opinion, I think ABC should keep their block of shows on Saturdays. I even wrote a letter to the fatcats at the network asking them to keep the block and even gave some suggestions about what to air instead of news, and Digimon was one of them. I don't know if they will read it or even take it seriously, but it's always worth a try.

Unfortunately, after this season is over, it appears that the only place with Digimon will be on ABC Family. And considering that there is a good chunk of the people out there who do not have cable, then they are going to end up missing Frontiers, as well as older reruns they would want to watch. If I were Disney, I would let another network, not necessarily ABC, show Digimon on Saturday mornings so they would at least have that much.

Last time i remember Toonzone reported Disney will be showing season 4 on ABC Saturday Mornings
