Maybe this is just me, but I'm curious if anyone else has problems with the way some cable networks re edit shows to change where the breaks hit.
I'm watching Star Trek, and they take the break in the MIDDLE of a scene!!!
GRRR!!
What's more, a few minutes later, we see the fade out, where it originally went to break, and the imediate fade in back to the scene..
CN does this ALOT, especially durring Toonami..

I've also seen this in several sit coms. TV shows as a whole get cut down so they can fit more commercials in. It is particularly sucky in certain sit coms that will break the scene in the middle of a joke so I can see some commercial for some dumb product I will never buy.

Commercials suck. Except for Sonic commercials ....Hedgies!!....
*cough*
Anyway, I think it's pretty cool of CN that they only have one commercial break for Batman, Superman, and Batman Beyond. The last two segments run together, and then they have the last five minutes of the half hour as commercials. Much easier to tape IMO.

In some of the syndicated versions of the shows I like, I swear they take out bits of dialogue, or they'll play cut music in the middle of a line.

I've seen that done with "Friends" when they show it in syndication - they take out some dialogue out of the episodes. Really makes no sense

I hate how sitcoms are edited for commercial time (Screw commercials. have of them stink!) I also hate how some shows are edited to take out gun violence. Di$ney has done this with several episodes of DuckTales, and Gargoyles. The butchering of classic cartoons is fabled in story, and song. So nothing on TV is safe from the editing knife. All we can do is fight the good fight.
