Man, the is the 'what do you wanna see on Adult Swim' topic popular or what? Over 2 months here and it still hasn't cooled down one bit. :p Anyway, rather than going the cliche dull route thats been gone down so many times before, I felt I'd try something new.
What don't you want to see on Adult Swim?
Please refrain from the obvious, like Pokemon and stuff owned by a competitor.
My picks?
Love Hina
Certainly too risque to air on Toonami, but that shouldn't qualify it as an Adult Swim show. Frankly, too much of the show is rather childish with all the stupid filler in the middle and the show's hardly high quality in the first place. Seeing Naru punch Keitaro got boring about 2 minutes into the show.
Re-edited Outlaw Star, Tenchi, Gundam Wing, etc...
Regardless of content (you could make the case that none of them would fit anyway), these shows have been played to death on the network. I'd much rather see the space used for new shows instead of repeating the same old stuff.
Well, thats about it from me for now :p

DBZ, Pokemon, or anything else in the realm of japanimation/Toonami. Let Toonami stay in Toonami, I say.

Sammy, David Spades failed animated series. I don't want to see that EVER again.

What don't I want on Adult Swim? The list is endless...
Here's an easier idea: tell me what others have suggested and I'll ay whether or not I don't think it belongs. :p

How about to keep the list from being so endless (I can see some pretty ridiculous ones being picked) could we stick to adult animation? Shows that could fit on AS but we really don't want them on there? I mean, seriously, some of them mentioned already, such as Pokemon...well, there is zero chance that would happen anyway. Maybe if we stick to things geared towards more adult audiences but stuff that sucks it would limit choices?

Hey, okay, so I felt the need to repeat Pokemon, but I grouped it with a whole category of stuff I don't want to see. I wasn't repeating anti-Pokemon sentiment, just using it as an example, a part of a larger whole. JMHO, y'know.

The PJs should never be on adult swim. this show is terrible, its so horrible it failed on 2 stations on a good time slot! this show plain sucks.

I agree with Calhoun. The lists would be pretty big if we don't limit it to stuff that fits.
I don't want Trigun, actually. It'd fit good with only a little language editing, but I find the plot over-all has a childish feel. Even the later episodes still have the same vibe. I like the series, but don't want it on AS.

But you didn't say HOW they were obvious, like whether Pokemon was too "kiddie" to be on AS, or that you thought people obviously don't like Pokemon (for whatever reason).
And stuff owned by a competitor isn't out of the question (except maybe Nick).
There are other smileys besides the rolleyes one. Maybe it wouldn't be so irritating if you actually had a REASON to roll your eyes
Man, I can't believe that someone else remembered "Sammy". That so totally suck-diddily-ucked! PJ's was pretty sad, too.

That gets my vote to it was awful...and I am a DIEHARD Kevin Smith fan....so I wish "Clerks" had been better. What do you expect from network...two dumbed down episodes and the axe, that's what..poor Kev.

Heavily edited anime, along with "God, the Devil, and Bob." French Stewart, the lead actor on that show (and 3rd Rock from the sun) stunk. He's doing a new show where a guy with no reason to live dies and gets to change everything to come back to life. "Yu Yu Hakuzo", anyone?

I'm gonna pretend you didn't just say that.
And anyways, there is new stuff in May- Mission Hill, which from what I heard is pretty funny stuff.

Yeah, but he was talking about ASA when he said no new stuff for a while.

Where did you get that? He mentioned "God, the Devil, and Bob.", which would fit into (but not as worth putting on) ASC, rather than the anime of ASA.

Hmmm... I don't want to see any American animated sitcoms, cept for Family Guy, because Adult Swim, at least I think, got the only downed show worth salvaging when it picked up Home Movies. I don't want to see 90% of anime out there, cause most are so clinched and deriative (and so shameless) that I don't have the patience for them. I guess what I don't want to see is ANY stuff produced by someone else or accquired from someone else. What I'd really like to see the most is original stuff. Something fresh. For both action and comedy. While I'm dreaming, I suppose :D

The problem with CN creating more unique shows....is that producing new shows is evem MORE expensive than buying a premade show & editing it...
Yes, it would be nice if every show was something new & diffrent...but that takes alot of money, and frankly, Ted doesn't feel like paying up. =[

I got mixed up. I thought it was this thread that some-one said "We're not going to be seeing new stuff on AS for about 6 months". I then thought LStorm was talking about that when he said "There is new stuff in may"... I was just confused. My bad.
I don't want to see Pokemon, DBZ, or stuff owned by competitors. That would suck.
Sersiously though, I just don't want to see shows that have been heavily edited. I know it's stupid, but it bothers me when I see something that obviously was changed, because it just isn't the way it was meant to be.

A list of anime I don't want to see: Love Hina, Evangelion, His and Her Circumstances (shudder), Fushigi Yugi, Guyver, Angel Links, Blue Seed, and Pilot Candidate. Oops, too late.
(Edit: Added Blue Seed. Heck, while I'm on it, most ADV's catalog.)

What don't I want to see on Adult Swim? Anymore episodes of Pilot Candidate. But, since that won' t happen, I'd have to say "Angel Sanctuary" To anyone who hasn't seen this: do yourself a favor, and DON'T. Besides the fact that it's so chocked full of incest it'd make your average Ozarkian hillbilly sick, it's got a crappy plot, so-so animation, and horrible dubbing.
STAY AWAY!!!!

Im gonna be obvious today...
ANY show with the word 'MON' in the title.
Any show where the word HELL, and the concept of Dying are not allowed (Referring to DBZ....)
You should always stick up for whats right...so I'm gonna be honest....I kinda like PC you buncha haters. Please lay off the Haterade™.

It's a good show, and the plot involves you. Except that I have the whole series on VHS, I'd love to see this on ASA. [possibly in place of our favorite Candidate. :)]
What I don't want to see?
Anything colorless. [thus far, ASA hasn't failed me.] Demon City Shinjuku, OTOH, had washed-out color; Akira had no color at all. [I like good usage of color.]
Anything that relies too much on CGI/cel cross-animation. [only Blue Sub 6 has succeeded thus far; it's on Toonami. ]
But, I give animated shows/movies of any national stripe at least one chance to impress me. [example: wasted money* on dubs of: Kimba: The White Lion - $5; Chojin Locke OVA - $20; DBZ Movie 4: Lord Slug - $19.99]

Perhaps you should base you choice of show on more than color ;)
