The day after the special, TOONHEADS:THE WARTIME CARTOONS has come and gone, one has to wonder in what direction will Cartoon Network take after this special, in terms of politically incorrect cartoons to be shown on their network.

First off:Like Jerry Beck said yesterday, that CN was taking a BIG RISK in showing these cartoons during a primetime schedule, so I must tip my hat off to them for doing it with a lot of courage and guts.

"Adult Swim" which doesn't debut until Sept.2, and in some way I'm a little disapointed with the programs that will appear once it begins. My opinion on this matter is this.... I think CN still fails to realize is that the adult audience would love to see at least a special show featuring these PIC cartoons in some kind of a special weekly showcase, It's good that CN want's to look out for their adult viewers, but hardly doubt it if every adult want's to see brand new cartoons(during three hours) and not see any kind of old classic cartoons that's geared just for the adults.

I hope that last night's special get's huge ratings, so that CN will understand that there is a place for these cartoons to be shown on their channel, and that they do have a huge audience for these types of cartoons.

Troy McClure said it best:
And now, here's what you've all been waiting for...HARDCORE NUDITY!

What I would really like is for CN to stop beating things like Scooby-Doo and Dexter to death and build some variety into their programming. That, and hardcore nudity. :D

While LNB&W won't be part of Adult Swim, it will be showing on the same night, once it and Toonheads finish. And it will be a half hour later. Which I'm hoping will convince them to show some more adult-themed (no, not porn, adult doesn't always mean that) cartoons. I mean, with Adult Swim and Toonheads on right before, they'll have a bunch of older fans watching, hopefully even more than in the past. Hopefully they'll take advantage of the even later time.

Pretty much stay the same. Except move the Hanna Barbera stuff to CN, And turn Boomerang into an Adults only animation channel. On the new and improved Boomerang, they could schedule a 2-3 hour block of LNB&W an hourly block of silents. Produce shows about cartoons. Air edgier stuff like The Oblongs, God The Devil and Bob as well as show the banned toons.

Whatever happened to the cartoon Home Movies? Or Home Videos, or whatever it was called. It was on UPN 11, and then it dissapeared after season 1. CN oughtta air, I kinda liked.

Actually, that show will be part of Adult Swim, Brandon! Your dream has come true!

I never saw it, but I enjoyed Dr. Katz, so I'm looking forward to it.
