Yes, I was home for spring break last week and I was lucky enough to find that issue, #7. It was fun looking for John's name in that and the Justice League comics, because I got to know him on this site before I ever saw his credit in print. I bought the Futurama, which rules. The Terminator storyline was a plus for me. I don't know if you guys knew, but I kinda like that movie. :)

Wow, I never would have guessed that you like the terminator movies..
I too just like seeing his name, cause I never payed much attention before, but now see John Delaney or Dan Slott whom I've gotten to know somewhat, it makes the comics seem..I dunno..more personal..=\

i agree with that statement
after talking with the guys on the board i keep a keen eye out for their work now-- honestly i enjoy their work more than some others now -- it does seem a little more personal-- maybe its because i can see the effort they put into their work!

I think it humanizes the comics more..
Sure, you know there's people who make comics..but this makes them actually seam REAL (cause they either are, or a remarkable fabrication designed to make me THINK they're real.)

Hey Kats
Thanks Tons O' for picking up the Futurama # 7. I really enjoy the interplay that sites like ToonZone allow us creators to have with the readers. You're all right it does personalize things and I think that's a great thing.
I just finished doing half of issue # 9 and I begin work on Futurama # 10 as soon as I finish the new Justice League Adventures that I'm currently working on... It's got AQUAMAN in it!!
Thanks for all the support. I believe if more creators make themselves avaliable to the fans we can turn the sales figures of comics around.
You kats rule!

Ah....excellent. Even if I'm not a fan of the Justice League comic (it's not the art, man, it's the stories), it's always good to see ya around here, JD. It irks me when creators purposely ignore the fans out of....I dunno, fear I suppose. Thanks for stickin' around.

Thanks KF
I really enjoy the interaction with the fans. I wish the opportunity existed when I was a fan and I greatly look forward to all the comments and critiques that the readers offer up. Since I've been working as an animator for the past 16 years, I've gotten used to revisions and critiques of my work. Animation is such a collaberative process that you "love each drawing but you don't fall in love with each drawing" So I don't mind bad reviews as well as good. However not all artists are as thick skinned and their feelings can get really hurt when they've poured themselves into their work and a fan is harsh in their comments or vindictive in their tone.
As long as there is mutual respect between creator and fan there should always be forums through which they can communicate.
I believe this interaction is essential to keeping comicbooks relevant and exciting for years to come
Cheers
John
