I know it is a country (I'm guessing it is a former Soviet Bloc republic), but I was wondering if there was anyone who could give me some hard, cold, facts on it. If so, thank you very much.
Also, in the Superman comics, is the doctor who created Metallo named Dr. Emmett Vale or Dr. Everett Vale?
Thanks for any help!

It's right next to Latveria. :D
Seriously, I strongly believe it's a made-up country. As to it's location, I don't know, but your guess sounds on target.
As for your second question I don't know, but I think the former is correct.

What's Latveria, don't you mean Latvia or Lithuania. Kaznia is not part of Russia I'm 99% sure.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but... have you guys ever studied geography at all?
Kaznia is completely made up. It doesn't exist. Period. Why did they just make a country up, you ask? The writers knew that, if they used a real country as the country buying Derek Powers' biological weapons of mass destruction, that they might have gotten hate mail from a civil rights group from whatever country they chose, or even sued by the ACLU for "racial discrimination" or "cultural slander"or something like that...
However, you can tell by looking at the clothes and hearing the accent of the Kaznian man who visits Derek Powers that Kaznia is supposed to be a "Middle Eastern" country.
By the way, the 15 countries that came out of the Soviet Union, when it ceased to exist in 1991, are: Russia (by far the largest), Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The last five countries listed are Muslim in origin -- most Muslim countries have the "-istan" at the end of their name because, in Arabic, "-istan" means "the land of." :D

Latveria is where Dr. Doom is from, and is just as fictitious as Kaznia. And as to the russian connection, I was thinking of all the "-stans" out in central asia that used to be part of the Soviet Union.

And I think it's sad that the world has gotten so nitpicky and easily offended by such things, to the point where it dictates certain things on TV, and this my friends is why political correctness is not your friend and why censorship sucks.

Kaznia is mentioned in Batman Beyond? I thought it was just in Superman where Metallo is from.
