The worst thing is it just satys at that window and won't open. It freezes up my whole pc and only the MS Word 2000 seems to be doing this. All my other programs are fine. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program but the same problem re-occurs.
Can anyone help this fed up Lady. I am a month away in finishing my semester and I really need to type my assignments ansd papers up. I cannot be going to the computer lab at my university all the time because I work.
Is there a computer wiz out there who can help me. I would really appreciate it.

From the info I gather, sounds like you need to reinstall Word.

Get a Mac :D
Ok, I really don't know what your problem is. It could be the registry is messed up or windows could just be in a really bad mood. Your gona have to get it looked at by a professional computer nerd.

Eep. :( Sorry.
I don't know much about computers, but I'd recommend trying scanning for viruses or damage, installing an older version of the program, or just installing a different word processor program. Even something like Simple Text could be enough to get yoyu by for a little while. Yeah, that doesn't help much, I know...
Is there anything new you've installed/done that could've caused the problem?

Thanks for the info gentlemen. I reinstalled MS Word again and no luck. I didn't instal anything new on my pc ...Joe Tully but I will look into it since I,m not the only one who uses the pc. I forgot my sis could've downloaded or installed something new but I doubt it since I am the only one who spends the most time on the pc doing work ^^

I'm sorry you computer doesn't feel like working. I know how it feels try to resist the urge to smash it into itty bitty pieces. Like Joe said you could install an older version of word or use another word processor. Of course you could give it to someone to fix and use an older PC while your waiting.
