Writer Jason Hall will be bringing fans an interesting take on a certain "cool" villian in Batman: Gotham Adventures #51. Toon Zone was able to catch up with him and get the lowdown on his comic work - past, present, and future.
"My current work includes co-creating PISTOLWHIP COMICS (http://www.pistolwhipcomics.com) with artist/writer Matt Kindt, and writing the comic "Mephisto and the Empty Box", which is a part of that. I've also written two STAR WARS TALES stories: "A Wookiee Scorned!" (SWT #10) and "The Princess Leia Diaries" (SWT #11 - out on March 20th) -- and now GOTHAM ADVENTURES #51, of course!"
When asked about information about his upcoming Gotham Adventures issue, Jason Hall replied:
<img src="http://www.toonzone.net/worldsfinest/worldsfinestpage/freeze1.gif" vspace=2 hspace=2 align="right">"Well, it's no fun to know what a story is all about before reading it J, but I can tell you that #51 is a Mr. Freeze story (my personal favorite "villain" from the Animated Series, because he's the most tragic) and it has a couple things in there that I think fans of both the show and comics, and of Freeze himself, will be excited to see. It's a story that's going to appeal to everyone: fans of my "Mephisto" comic, regular readers of GOTHAM ADVENTURES, and admirers of the Batman Animated Series (who perhaps haven't been picking up the book regularly), as well as general readers of all ages -- or at least I hope it does! If you haven't been picking up the book (though you should!), this would be a perfect issue to try out. The artwork by Brad Rader and Terry Austin is fantastic and really sets the mood!"
As for future comic work, Jason Hall mentioned:
"After my GOTHAM ADVENTURES issue hits the stands in June, I'll have another STAR WARS TALES story coming up, as well as the next PISTOLWHIP graphic novel, which I've written, called "The Yellow Menace" (I can't wait for this to come out!). Plus, there are a few other projects that it's a little too early to talk about yet, but that I hope will be happening. "
When asked if he's ever consider to return to the animated streets of Gotham, Jason Hall replied:
"I'd definitely jump at the chance to write more GOTHAM ADVENTURES, so if people enjoy #51, be sure to let the GOTHAM ADVENTURES offices at DC know!"
Tonight at midnight, Toon Zone will bring fans thes listings for the June shipping DC Comics, including the synopsis and cover art for Batman: Gotham Adventures #51, which will also be provided here as well.
