View Full Version : Did Flash ever have a girlfriend?

I remember looking at some of the Wally West issues, and I think he did have A hispanic girlfriend who was a reporter. Is this true? I was just wondering because as of late, The Flash has been acting like a super fast Johnny Bravo putting the moves on anything in a skirt, or spandex. (Somehow I can relate to that, but I wouldn't go that far.)

He's had many girlfriends, but is now married to Linda Park, who is a reporter. I'm not sure what her ethnic background is.

Thanks alot. I guess Linda Park has to make an appearance, because let's face it. Flash can't keep womanizing forever. It's only A matter of time before he gets a restraining order from one of these woman. (That never stopped Clinton, but that's another rant I'll save for The Drudge Report.) I'm amazed at how Diana, and Hawkgirl put up with him. Giving Linda Park a guest appearance would be a good turning point for Flash.

MBaker,
IMO, I don't think Wonder Woman has been exposed to that type of behavior yet (in JL). What I mean is that this may be her first experience with it. And as far as Hawkgirl is concerned, she's silent on the matter to this point--well, almost: "Down boy." ;)

Actually he's married to Linda Park in the comics. Well, now she's Linda West. She's of asian decent. Hope that helps.

Actually, her name is Linda Park-West. She hyphenates.

That's correct, she does hyphenate it. Thanks Clark J. Kent.

--all the Flashes were married men, right? At least two that I know about--Barry, the second Flash, as I've noted, married a woman who learned about his secret from him talking in his sleep. Did Wally tell his missus about his double life (willingly)? And is the speed force genetic (i.e. will the kids be running about the house at hyperspeed when they're old enough to walk?)

Are we allowed to start political debates?

The first Flash, Jay Garrick, was also married to the girl he loved in college and who knew his secret identity from Day One, Joan Williams (now Joan Garrick.)
Are we allowed to start political debates? It has nothing to do with Clinton's politics. It's what happened. There's no varying on opinions on whether or not he cheated on his wife multiple times; it's a proven fact. There's no debate presented.

Actually, I have MAJOR problems with the Druge Report. Wasn't about Clinton, although I can talk about him as well.

ok. The way The Flash acts in the animated universe shows that he probably doesn't have a relationship...he seemed like he was probably begging for digits in B&B.

I guess it's a good thing her first name isn't Central. :D

Wally's identity is common knowledge. At some point he dropped the "secret identity"
And is the speed force genetic (i.e. will the kids be running about the house at hyperspeed when they're old enough to walk?)
Apparently so. From time travel stories, descendents of Barry and Wally both have super-speed. Super-speedster Impulse is a descendent of Barry who has traveled back in time, for example.

I wonder if everyone knows him in the animated universe?

The Barry Allen Flash that I read was in love with Iris something or other. She was his love interest in the tv series as well. I think they were breaking up in the beginning. I thought that she would be Wally's girl in the JLTAS, but I'm not a diehard fan so I could care less. Fact is their probably won't be any side characters introduced at all.

Barry Allen and Iris were not only in love, but steadily dating, and eventually were married.
But to introduce Iris West for Wally West would be weird. If you insist on bringing in outside love interests, it's gotta be Linda Park (now Linda Park-West, as we've established :) ) or nobody at all
