It was the only good thing in this yet another pathetic waste of a rare Acme Hour. I have completely lost my faith in CN. They’ll show a Speedy Gonzales cartoon at 7 AM in the morning, yet won’t bother to show not even 1 un-PC cartoon late at night when they have themselves a perfect opportunity for a rare Acme Hour and hardly anybody is up? This makes no damn sense!

Hmmm.... i think i know what would make sense, a whole lotta darn sense - write a nice letter to the nice people at Warner Brothers and ask them to let us have a chance to own the cartoons, all of 'em, uncensored. We could all still get our kicks out of b!tching and complaining about CN but we'd be able to put a nice smile on our faces anytime we wanted by popping in a DVD and not worrying about CN's crap.

And wouldn't you know I'd miss it because I had the audio on Spanish again? The things I do in pursiit of enlightenment.
Though I notied the titles on a couple of the Popeye (in Spanish he's called "Po-pay-eye el marino") shorts were weirdly translated. "Penny Antics" was called "Las Peliculas Centavos" ("Penny Flims"), thus ruining the pun, and the one about Popeye and the giant was given as "Espinacas Magicas" ("Magic Spinach"?) Not to mention that the singing in "Rio" and "Olive for President" wasn't dubbed, so that the contrast was even weirder....
Appropriate that it was an all-Popeye night, as my niece was over and she's a big sailor man fan. Is a Boopathon too much to hope for para mi? :D
