View Full Version : New Season, New Budget?

I've read about how, in Season 1, the creators of Justice League were forced to work on a much smaller budget than they were forced to work on when they were making Batman, Superman, and Batman Beyond. (How much smaller of a budget?) Well, I have to say, they've done a great job! I've been very pleased with ALL the episodes that have aired so far (yes, even "War World", for those that are wondering), and I thought they were pretty close to, if not a match for, the quality of the other three TV shows. So I wonder... now that Cartoon Network has renewed Justice League for Season 2, and since the TV show's gotten such great ratings... will they be given a bigger budget this time around???
Is there any way we can write to the Cartoon Network and/or Warner Bros. and let them know how much we love the TV show, in the hopes that they'll be inspired to give Justice League a larger budget?
For that matter, can we donate money to Justice League's budget? :p I'd say "Here's $10 towards that post-Legacy episode" and "Here's $10 towards that John Stewart/Kyle Rainer vs. Sinestro episode"... :p
Any thoughts/ideas??? :D

Hey, we could have a PBS style telethon to raise money for JL. Just think, instead of getting some cheesy tote bag or T-shirt you'll never wear, you could get authentic JL merchandise.
Donate $25 and get a quickchange Bruce Wayne figure that turns into Batman before your very eyes!
Donate $100 and get your very own authentic Green Lantern power ring!
Note: Cartoon Network makes no guarantees, express or implied, as to the effectiveness of the Green Lantern power ring in forming energy constructs. All rings must first be charged at the Central Battery on Oa, at the expense of the purchaser.

I'd be willing to go door-to-door selling some of Hawkgirl's (yet to be baked) Thanagarian cookies. They're a treat. :)

I hope the budget increases...I too would like to see the Post-Legacy episode...and see at least one appearance by Kyle Rayner.

Seeing that “Friends” is still on for another season, I wouldn’t expect a budget increase for Season 2.
Don’t know what I’m talking about? Click here (http://pub4.ezboard.com/fdcuaforumfrm8.showMessage?topicID=143.topic) for my post (on another JL board) entitled: “With ‘Friends’ like these, ‘JL’ doesn’t need enemies.”

I'd like to see this show have a bigger budget. Maybe It'll have better animation and music. I gotta tell ya, I don't think this show isn't as good as the previous shows by Timm and company.

One of the first things I noticed during the first episode was the synthesized music. In a way I felt a "bond," being a MIDI composer and all, but... no, it's not as good. I think the music has been getting more orchestral each week, though.

At any rate I would greatly welcome an increased budget. But like others have pointed out, they are improving (in area's like the music) with the budget they've got. Hopefully we'll get the chance to see what they can do with a bigger budget next season.

Mr. Obsession,
LOL! And I can't move anywhere near as fast as the Flash. So I guess *I'll* be baking the cookies.... ;)
