Actually, a couple of technicalities: they only showed five films (at least, FOR this week's "installment", if there IS going to be a showing next week), and they weren't all cartoons. But at any rate, here's what they showed:
something called "The Big Yellow Fellow", which was a mildly amusing, educational/safety film. I believe the copyright said 1978. Generally good quality print. A few scratches, there was a weird green line on the left-hand side throughout the film, but it wasn't really en masse noticeable.
"Mush and Milk" 1933, Little Rascals. My mom told me she used to say "don't drink the milk! It's spoiled!" all the time at the dinner table when she was growing up! :D Quite a few skips in the middle, but the projectionist soon fixed that; a few scratches. Generally an excellent print.
"Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century". It was cool to see this one on the big "screen" for once. Color was a bit dismal, and there were two skips, which was a major problem.. on the second skip, it skipped right from Daffy/Dodgers saying "Like I was saying, Buster. This planet ain't big enough for the two of us, so, off ya go!" to the That's All Folks! card, completely skipping the "b-b-b-big deal" punchline.
"Jack Frost" 1934, Iwerks. Fairly good print. There were several distracting (detracting, rather) skips, and the picture got blurry in the last minute or so, but otherwise it played well.
"Garden of Eatin' " 1943 live-action short with Chester Conklin. Pretty cartoony, and very, very funny, short. Reeeally, it was.
And th-th-th-th-that was all, folks!
