LOL! :)
Sorry if I've been kinda a little rude or impatient about it in the past, JH. I understand you're busy with all sorts of stuff I don't know about, but this show definately deserves it! And a reminder for all - 24, the best show on television currently playing, is on Fox at 9:00pm, EST. Don't miss! :D
Well, here's to hoping for even more questions to be answered and even more questions to be asked. We had a lot to talk about on the last talkback, so here's to hoping for more confusion! Now, I've got to run to my VCR and get things ready! Ciao till 10!

Man, I don't know which episode made me happier. Brave and the Bold for saving JL series from mediocrity, or this episode which answers just about EVERYTHING we've been asking about 24 all this time.
Big answers:
-Operation Nightfall, aka The Drazen Mission, was a success! Despite losing all of his team, Bauer made sure Victor Drazen, along with his inner circle were taken out.
-Motives: Not because of the primary, not because he's black, Palmer is targeted for revenge by a relative of (Andre)Drazen's whose sister was killed in the attack. (Victor)Drazen's wife and daughter were killed, and thus, Teri and Kim have been targeted! My question is - are Palmer's wife and son targets as well?
-Teri IS pregnant!
-The 3 assassins... No, wait, that ones still in the dark, although we know Gaine's troop are all wiped out now (except Rick)
Not only did we get tons of revelations this time around, but we had some very, very satisfying scenes. Jack is back and Green is out! I loved that scene! Also, We got a glimpse of a new and awesome character that would make Carl crawl under a rock and cry. Too bad he's dead now... And I've never liked Kim's character. She was so smug and selfish. That scene where she got told off by Teri was beautiful. And the rest of Teri's scenes were emotionally harsh. Also, I loved the scenes between Jack and Palmer.
Next ep looks good. The secretary will be confronted and the assassin will be unmasked. Or, at least one assassin, since it looks like the safe house gets under attack by the fake FBI guy....

Yeah, huge episode with lots of new info, but the one thing I still want to know is what's up with Rick? The way he just yelled "NO!" at Kim when she mentioned him turning himself in leads me to believe there's something more there.
Also, does anyone else have a feeling that the baby is not Jack's? I was thinking, since they were separated for a while and Jack hooked up with Nina, maybe Teri decided to sleep with someone else? I don't know if they've directly stated it yet, but it seems implied that Teri wasn't completely faithful as well. (Maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there)
Anyway, I can't wait for next week! (like usual ;) )

WOW!
I a good episode, I like the line from Palmer, that the reson he's being targeted, isn't because of politics,or race, just a screwed up mission in Bosnia.
I'm so glad Palmer and Bauer got together, and are figuring out who's behind all of this. Also poor Bob, I wish we could have got to know him more.
As for Teri, she's pregnant and she's knows who Jack was seeing during the seperation. I too am wondering if Teri's baby is Jack's maybe she was seeing someone on the side as well. She did mention that her and Jack use birth control.
I saw the ad for next week---Whoa!

This was a great episode! Low on action, but over flowing with information - important information. I really enjoyed this episode (a perfect jumping on point for new viewers) as it completely sets up the 2nd half of the season. With 9 hours left - anything can happen! The promos for next definatly show that things are being kicked up a notch and then some.
I'm also curious, are they also after Bauer's family? They seem to not be in any remote danger as far as I can tell, besides possible legal action. Then again, Drazen could be using not foce but pyshcology in this, by having turn against his wife and son with the whole Faragamo thing/blackmail/murder. Ands where's Palmer's daughter?
And I'm pretty sure the kid is Jack's. For some reason, if it wasn't, I'd be very dissapointed.
And I was jumping up and down when Bauser was telling off Green at the first, and when he was reinstated at the end of the hour.

This show is just getting better and better each week. It is still on the top of my favorites list with The Shield following close on it's heels...

If you're dying for indepth info on this ep, you can always check out Fox.com/24 for the full synopsis.
And I'm adding another BIG Answer that I missed:
The 3rd Shooter is Alexis Drazen, brother to Andre Drazen.
So that's our 3rd 'unnamed' assassin! Now, where does that faux FBI guy fit in...
And on Rick - I'm pretty sure he's just confused and feeling extremely guilty. He did all that to help them out, showing that he does love her, but, his silent rebellion against Gaine's, I think he's just being a coward. He jumped into one mess without thinking, and he probably doesn't want to do it again.
And JH is right - Just where IS Palmer's daughter?
EDIT: Took away spoiler tags- Discovered it was in the ep
ADD: And one more thing - did you notice that Robert Ellis barely moved his mouth while talking? There's no way someone could lip-read that! Hehe, just thought it was interesting enough to note

For a family in crisis, you'd think his daughter would be somewhere around there. It's possible she's just off doing something else, but...there's a slight chance that she's missing an no one notices yet.
And it's a bummer that guy got bumped off. I would have liked to have seen more of him, even if his first line was incredibly cheesey and a bit hokey. I wa shoping we'd get to know a bit more about Jack from this guy.
And the reruns are on FX, not FOX - I recommend catching this one.

No problem. And like Jim said, the repeats will be on FX. You probably already know that, but just in case.

I think the next hour will be extremely crucial for Jack. Now that's he reinstated (temporarily), he has the full force of the CTU under him, we will definatly see some movement against Drazen. But will his paranoia come into play now?

it must have been hard on Teri to find out that Jack nailed Nina the time they were separated. i can't imagine that happening in real life.
and what is with Kim going bratty about Teri not telling her that they were trying to have baby? a little bit overacting i think.

So what will happen with Green? Will she will still be involved under Jack or not with CTU anymore?

Hard to say if she'll be written off. I think she may reluctantly work with Jack on this. I doubt we've seen the last of her. She may stick around for awhile. I am curious if she is in deeper in this then we think...but that'd almost be too predictable.

Hehe, this is a show with so many twists and turns that the unpredictable becomes predictable. Soon we'll be expecting the unexpected, but when something expectable happens, we'll be surprised... err... nevermind.
But with next episode coming, it appears that the CTU have the upper hand. Not only have they identified their main assassin and who is behind all this, but they have Bauer on top and Palmer on his guard. It seems... all too easy now. Surely the terrorists' contingency plan has something more to do than target Kim and Teri (again). They're going to have to turn the notch up big time if they're going to finish this by midnight. Or... maybe thats what they want us to expect! :p
Err, anyway, can't wait! And I hope Green sticks around for awhile. It'll be nice to see her under the heel for at least a few episodes.

Hahaha, "expectable" is my new favourite word. ;)
Anyway, I don't think Alberta is bad, just because she IS portrayed as evil, therefore she isn't. Get it?
I think she's just in it for political gain (ie. she wants Jack's job, so she'll do anything to bury him). I highly doubt she's with the terrorists. In fact, I'm starting to doubt that there's anyone else on the inside anymore (CTU, at least), because Jamey was the only traitor so far, and she was part of plan "A". Now that they're in plan "B", I think they're heading in a totally new direction (within the Drazen family, I guess).
By the way, I never saw the preview for the next episode, can someone give me the gist of it?

LOL much! I see now Jedi Knight, but now that we expect Green not to be evil because we expected Green to be evil, doesn't that mean that it'll turn out that Green IS evil?!?! :wakko:
But yeah, I see your point. That element of the Plan is gone now (possibly) and Drazen will probably be attacking in other means now. And also, however, if Alberta stays, she's pretty much made it clear that she doesn't care for the mission, but for the job. Now that she doesn't have the job, she probably won't be very useful in the mission.
Oh, and because I have way too much time on my hands, here's the Scene-From-Next-Episode synopsis :D :
-Milo to Jack: "They just found Niles' body in a men's room..." (Scene of a dead person on the ground being searched by a blurred figure)
-Palmer: "A member of my advance team recognized the assassins in one of the photos you sent secret service" (Alexis Drazen's picture shown on a TV set with the words "Suspected Assassins/ Age: 35/ ???: Kragsomethingorother, Serbia/ ???: N/A")
-Bauer to Chapelle: "She's supposed to meet him in his hotel room in an hour"
-Bauer: "Would you be willing to keep your appointment with Alexis?"
-Secretary-Lady: "You want me to conspire with him?"
-Carl ( ) speaking to Palmer's son: There is some physical evidence in George Feragammo's office that leads directly to YOU"
-Blurred figure in car outside of safe house: "I found Bauer's wife and daughter"
-Scene of a guard getting shot with a huge arrow-like projectile
-Blurred Figures' Voice, while looking over both women on ground (alive): "The women will be dead... soon,"
-Faux FBI guy appears in a half-open door

I am surprised at the "lack of Rixck" in next week's preview, becuase I know he's gonna be back again, at least for a couple more episodes. And the whole Teri/Kim attacked by faux-FBI...I like it. I love how they are in constant danger. I like the feeling that nobody is safe in this series. It just makes the show better.
