I gotta say, if you guys haven't noticed, these are some pretty good actors making guest appearances on the show. I'm not surprised, STAS had William H. Macy, Melissa Joan Hart, Stockard Channing, and many more.
I actually recognized Bill Duke's voice. He played the bald black dude in Predator who was shaving and was killed right before Carl Weathers.

I thought that was Bill Duke (it sounded alot like him) but I had to see the credits to be sure. He played a Detective in "Meanace II Soicety" and also a ex soldier in "Commando". They Have been able to get great guest voice acting IMO.

Not only that, they've had some interesting choices in other areas too.
Eric Roberts (known as: the guy who could have had a kick-ass movie career, but he screwed up too much and now will always be known as Julia's brother) played Mongul on "War World" I thought that was pretty cool!

I feel sorry for Eric Roberts. His sister is SO overrated that it's pathetic. (Have you seen her in TV intervews? God she souds SO arogant!) Anyhoo, Eric did A kick-ass job as Mongul. I also like Phil LaMarr's work as John Stewart. Phill is also the voice of Samurai Jack, and he use to be on Mad TV (My favorite character he did was Jack the UPS guy.) George Newburn has proven to be a worthy sucessor to Tim Daily as The Man of Steel. Michael Rosenbaum (Who also plays Lex Luthor on Smallville) dose a wonderful job as Flash. Susan Eisenberg, and Maria Canals sound breathtaking as Diana, and HawkGirl. Carl Lumbly sounds perfect as J'onn J'onzz, And of course Kevin Conroy rules as the Bat.

Ditto on Eric Roberts, dude! And yeah, I guess all them People magazine covers have finally gone to ol' Julia's head. Sounds like to me she's starting to believe her own press. (Though I WILL give her props for Erin Brockovich)
And it's a testament to how talented Phil LaMarr is that to hear John Stewart and Samurai Jack, unless you saw the voice credits, you wouldn't believe it was the same guy!
And I agree that George Newburn rocks as the Man Of Steel.
(It does beg the question however; why couldn't Tim Daly be persuaded to reprise his Superman role? Not enough money? Too busy?
Oh, well...I think his shoes (or his voice box) has been more than adequately filled. :)

This really ought to be a FAQ...
During pre-production of JL, Tim Daly was still working on The Fugitive, a weekly series on CBS re-making the original '60's TV show, and his schedule meant he couldn't reprise Superman on JL. The Fugitive got cancelled shortly after JL debuted.
What is interesting to note is that Tim Daly is providing the voice of Superman in the new PS2 Superman game. However, I don't know if that's because he did it after The Fugitive was cancelled or if video game voice overs aren't as time consuming as animation.
I don't think George Newbern is horrible, but I don't think he's as good as Tim Daly or the guy who did Superman in "The Call."

I don't know who/if they were on STAS, but Channing was the original voice of Barbara Gordon in "Batman Beyond," and Macy had 2 roles in BB, as Aaron (the pathetic guy who helps free Inque) in "Disappearing Inque" and as Karros (one of the bad guys) in "Big Time."
Not to toot my horn (well, actually it is), but I've got a pretty good index of performers (http://www.scrye.com/~jallman/anbat/actors/) in the various BTAS shows at my website (http://www.scrye.com/~jallman/anbat/anbatndx.html)

A little off topic. But, I collect autographed 3x5 cards. I then make cast mattes of tv shows and movies. I did one for Batman:Animated. I have about 24 different signatures. From Kevin Conroy(Batman) to Paul Williams(Penguin). Some I had to get from autograph dealers(Mark Hamill). But, most were real nice and wrote write back. Some do some real nice things. Like Aron Kincaid(Killer Croc) sent not only my card back signed. But, a autographed picture of himself and another picture of Kroc. And for you Batgirl fans. Tara Charendoff signed the card and then put her lip prints on it. Most most cherised signature is that of Roddy McDowall. I received his autographs a few months before he passed away.

William H. Macy was in at least one episode of STAS, with the Volcana chick "Where's There's Smoke". He played the same character he always plays some hopeless sap. As for Stockard Channing, I believe she played the voice of MALA on both "Blast From the Past" pts 1 & 2 and "Absolute Power". I think she did a guest voice in another Superman episode that was really lowkey.

Didn't catch him in it.

No, sorry. Leslie Easterbrook(aka Callahan from the Police Academy movies) was Mala in Blasts from the Past . Sarah Douglas (aka Ursa) was Mala in Absolute Power . I don't know if Channing was in any episode of STAS.

I prefered Channing's Barbara...but Angie Harmon made a good successor..she was on Law & Order..forever..
