I've got to say that I love Meg's eyes. They're just so cold. That and John's redesign of Meg's arm-cannon weapon thingy (I forget what it's called :o). And all the destruction going on in the background.

Right now I'm one happy fanboy/child of the '80s. :cool:

I am impressed....
John draws the most amazing things...and this time he didn't even have te benefit of being a fan of what he was drawing...he self-admitedly didn't know much about Transformers, and going off of screencaps that we found for him, drew this incredible sketch, which is easily one of his best.

We sure got something different this week. I never watched this show either, but I like the sketch. Very awesome, especially the details you wouldn't see on such a cartoon, like the wear on Megatron's robot body. That helps the warlike atmosphere of the shot. Nice work!

Very nice sketch! I also appreciate the fact that you have never drawn a Transformer, and only based you drawing on a couple of screenshots, and turned it into a wonderful pic!

Once again, I loved it, but I just can't help but wonder what you're sketch of the Adam West Batman would be if he would've won. :(

Great pic John! Megatron looks very intimidating and evil, just like he was always supposed to! Hopefully drawing Megatron will make you wonder about the rest of the crew and watch some old school Transformers stuff.

Thanks for the words of encouragement!! I was really worried about this one. As many of you have noted, I had never drawn a Transformer before so I decided to try doing Megatron in a really battle-scarred look, which I hoped wouldn't bother any of the hard core Transformer fans.
Thanks to everyone who voted this one was definately fun and challenging.

I don't remember ever seeing the G1 Transformers, but I can't imagine anything looking as cool as this sketch. We may get a lot more transformer submissions now. Great sketch John.

I did see it and it was incredible!! Loved it. I especially liked the two tones used to compliment the shadows, very nice indeed!
