i just saw one tonight and its a long commercial w/ lots of clips and a combo of multiple batman themes and nice cg of gotham and stuff. its pretty sweet if you ask me. and they also have this weird batman/superman intro before they show the ep. and we get the original opening (which wasnt there when they aired "fire in the sky".)

i mean, these are small things, not really a big deal, but im just glad to see that batman is getting the respect he deserves over at cn. peace.

I think they're awesome! :D Every single time I see one it gets me excited to see the show on the weekend. Bats in definately getting the treatment he so richly deserves with these well-done spots. :)

CN has always done a great jo producing original ads for BTAS.
I think CN picked up the rights to BTAs back in '98. And from Day ONE they've aired creative prmos using showclips and innovative music.

I love the Toonami Batman ad: "Twinkle, twinkle little Bat. How I wonder what you're AT!"

I also liked the quick pieces w/ Joker & Two-Face.
And remember the villain previews, where the used soundbites of viallin dialogues, thehn flashed the viallins face at the end of the promo.

I also liked the commercial promoting Batman, Superfriends, & Johnny Quest. That one started w/ the Joker fading to black then creeping eerily closer to the viewer.

Not to mention the promos CN ran when they were airing Mask of the Phantasm & SubZero on Cartoon Theater.

By the way, who is that deep-voiced guy that does the Toonami plugs?

Dang it! I tuned in about halfway through the new promo. * bang's head against desk * :(

My favorite CN Batman commercial to date is still the 90 second version of the Black and White one that ran awhile back titled "Like a Shadow".

Those are the best. Those should be a special feature on the DVDs.

Gotta love the commercials, it captures what the series was as a whole. I also liked the old FOX commercials, and the Black and White one from CN was cool.

I actually don't have cable, so for a long time I was stuck with the Kids WB ads. They actually had a few decent ones way back when, before the goofball chumming-on-the-lot ads that always made fun of Batman, then the countless Pokemon tie-ins, then the series' cancellation. Sometimes they even had custom voiceovers by the actors ("I do it for...my butler!" and "Robin's Driving Lesson" spring to mind). But when I started recording B:TAS off of my grandmother's cable, I was absolutely blown away. I'd never seen ads like that before. They actually made me want to watch the show (even more than I already did)!!! Those are commercials that I don't fast-forward through, that I actually look forward to seeing! Thank you, CN advertising people, for doing your jobs! :)

Cartoon Network commercials in general are teriffic. Even mediocre shows like Dragonball Z look swell when CN makes promos out of them. Though I have to prefer the originally-animated commercials the network does... who could forget the classic "Staylongers" bit...

(getting back on topic)

Yeah, the Bat promos are very dark and creepy.

The first FOX ads were cool.
First season episodes were advertised in Gotham Gazette format, with cool headlines.

Anyone else remember the FOX Mystery Theatre?
I liked the original 5:30 timeslot.
