One of my favorite pieces of canned music in Spongebob is a piece that, to my knowledge, hasn't been identified yet.

It's an upbeat ukelele (?) piece. It's heard all over the place in Spongebob. At the top of my head, among other things it's the title card music of "Ditchin'" (and the end of the episode when Ms. Puff is arrested) and "The Inmates of Summer"

Does anyone (Speedy) know the name of this piece? Was it created for the show? Or is this one of the odd, unknown Spongebob APM cues?

I haven't actually seen the episodes in question, but does it happen to play anywhere in the earlier seasons?

It also plays at the end of "Squeaky Boots", when Mr. Krabs and Pearl go on vacation.

I don't think that's been identified yet. It may just be original music by The Blue Hawaiians.

Chase scene music in the episode, "Gone."

You know, the one where the titular character was running away from a "Yandere" Boatmobile.

Yeah might be original and not APM. BTW is that music during the chase scene in Wormy APM, and if so what's it called? That's my favorite SB cue.

I would love nothing more than a Spongebob Background Music Soundtrack. Does such a thing even exist?

Ren & Stimpy got 2 production music soundtracks and a couple of songs SB uses are on them (The Achterhoek Dances being a prominent Krusty Krab theme). R&S and SB are Nicktoons best known for using APM as well as interesting original music. We can only hope there will eventually be a SB production music album.

BTW, just for future reference, I haven't seen very many post season 4 SpongeBob episodes so I'm likely going to say "I dunno" if asked about what a track's name is in them. You're free to ask of course, but I likely won't know it.

Ren & Stimpy got 2 production music soundtracks and a couple of songs SB uses are on them (The Achterhoek Dances being a prominent Krusty Krab theme). Those weren't official soundtracks, and certainly not endorsed by APM.

The most you can get when it comes to official soundtracks is "Music For TV Dinners", which contains the following tracks:

-In the Limelight (used in Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon)
-Happy-Go-Lively (used in Ren & Stimpy and SpongeBob)
-Hackney Carriage (ditto)
-Trafficscape (used in R&S)
-Curley Shirley
-Bell Hop (used in SpongeBob)
-Man About Town
-Holiday Playtime (used in R&S and SpongeBob)
-Bargains Galore (used in R&S)
-Speaking Guitar (used in SpongeBob)
-Shopping Spree (used in R&S and SpongeBob)
-Stop Gap (used in R&S)
-Toys For Boys (the theme music for Kablam's Sniz & Fondue)
-Gala Performance (used in R&S and SpongeBob)
-Sleepy Shores

Unfortunately, it's ultra expensive on Amazon, I assume due to getting harder to find.

Huh I had no idea. I saw the covers used for YouTube videos featuring APM so I thought the soundtracks existed. Man the price for that Music for TV Dinners CD is really steep.
