I am surprised there is no talkback for this, I will start one.
So far this is one of my favorite episodes, I liked the Lo storyline better than the Riff one. I thought this was a good character development episode for Lo, and I liked how in the end she actully did some research and found out how to tame the kids. Also liked that in the end, the kids redem themselfs a bit and made friends with Lo, (though that Todd kid needs to learn a lesson about not being a perv if he does that when he is older he could get locked up), it seemed this show protrayed kids as irremdemable brats, but at least they show some kind of good side to them this time.
Speaking of which, finally George gets some much needed karma, I have waited since the beginning of this series for that brat to get his. Only disappointed they didn't throw him in the waterfalls.

Great episode :anime:
My favorite scene is when Reef's Bathing suit far off XD
I personally found the main story with Reef a bit boring. The sidestory with Lo's babysitting job was far more interesting in my book. And I guess we'll see more episodes with her doing that job, so that's good.

I haven't decided if I'm going to keep watching this show, but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. I thought both stories were funny, if not a bit perdictable, so I enjoyed it.

I personally thought they went a little overdramatic towards the end with Mother Nature pretty much throwing everything at Reef when he tried to return to the totem at the waterfall. Then again, in terms of bad luck, he had everything bad happen to him save anything that would cause him serious bodily injury or death. I would say it's justified due to his 'boys are better at girls at pretty much everything' schtick, but I'm not that sadistic after what happened here.
As for Lo's plot... the writers probably had a field day with it. They're probably like, 'We know she doesn't know how to handle financial responsibility well, so let's throw another type of responsibility at her so she'll crack. Like, babysitting!' I guess they know that situations that are guaranteed to turn out bad from the onset are always hilarious to the observers. Which is true here. Yet, I hate that the kids had to be typical brats (which comes as expected from the two boys based on previous episodes). In the end, Lo learns of the best way to keep the kids well-behaved through her own experience (as good as the advice she received from the others were, sometimes spontaneous reality trumps even the best help) and research.
One more thing... can we take a break on the Reef stories and get a Johnny episode next week? 'Cause unless they've got an immediate character-changing event planned in the near future, I'm already tiring of the guy.

What an awful episode. I'm surprised people here liked it.
The strange thing about this is that the first 8 minutes was, with the first sights of continuity for this show.
And then it went crap. Remember, I didn't bother seeing this episode after it's Canadian airing.
For one part, we've seen this kind of main plot before. For another, the side-plot was painful to sit through. It's just this bad.
Well, the great news is, next week's episode, "Charging In The Night" is one of the best episodes of the series so far, so it should be enjoyable.

Next week's episode focuses on pretty much everybody, the episode after that focuses on Broseph and the one after that focuses on Johnny (which has Reef in a side-plot, instead)

Here are my thoughts on this episode:
1. I liked how the boys made the best of surfing without the waves, including cliff diving. I loved Johnny's belly=flop off the cliff!:p
2. It was sad to see Lo become babysitter to those brats.:( I hated when those boys buried her in the sand.
3. Reef sure was having a bad day because of that totem, especially when his trunks fell and Fin took a photo!:p
4. It was mean of those brats to leave Lo stranded at that surf shop!
5. I liked how Reef & Broseph got the totem back from George.:)
6. I thought it was great to see Lo tire those children out by teaching them how to surf!:D
7. I liked seeing Reef & Fin tease each other about being "superstitious.":anime: I also enjoyed the Jaws backgroung music when the totem was rising underneath them.:p
Not a bad ep. 3 stars.:)
If it's alright, I think we should make a general Season 1 talkback for Stoked at this point. The last few talkbacks for general episodes haven't gotten many replies and got created late.
