This is the talkback thread for Family Guy Gets New Showrunners. (http://news.toonzone.net/articles/30958/family-guy-gets-new-showrunners)
Maybe the new guys can fix the show.

At least these aren't outsiders being brought in but simply existing staff members getting promoted, so hopefully that's a good sign that not much will change. (Just reduce Herbert's presence, please. That's all I ask.) It's usually not good when a brand new person is brought in out of nowhere and made the show runner.

Interesting, I too hope that they can get the show back to consistency, it just seems so hit-or-miss lately.

I thought the show was fine already. Oh well, this news is OK with me. But there should be new showrunners for The Simpsons (I mean, The Simpsons are great, but I think with new showrunners, the show will appeal to fans again.).

I doubt anything will change too much.

You're right. The show won't get a radical make over, Seth MacFarlene is still the main dude afterall, but there will be changes. Everyone has their own idea of how the show should be done. So, the new showrunners will be injecting more of that.

If it means better Family Guy episodes, then I'm up for it. :p
Since Callaghan and Hentemann have good reputations on the show, it might be good.

Is there any article anywhere that states why Goodman and Sheridan are stepping down?

Maybe we finally got to them. ;)

I'm sure it will change. Every show I've seen that gets new showrunners changes their style a bit. Obviously this could be a good or bad thing.
Personally, I welcome it, since Family Guy was getting a bit too samey recently.
