Okay, maybe it's just me, but Kirsten Dunst does not seem to be the best selection for MJ. It's not that she's not a good actress, I find her to be quite all right, she just doesn't have that Mary Jane look at all. Anyone agree, disagree? Maybe it's just the pics I've seen of her as MJ, it just didn't seem right at all.

i liked the whole take the Spiderman animated series took on her and mj and peter

I think she's perfect. This is a teenage Spider-Man, and he and Mary Jane need to look like teenagers. She does, and she has that sexy innocence to her, if that makes any sense.

Glad you mentioned that Guard, because I was definete on whether it was a teenage Peter or not. As I was writing this thread I wsa like....I wonder if Peter and MJ are teens and not young adults in like they're early 20's. Well, it makes a little more sense I suppose ^_^. Now, I couldn't tell in this one pic I saw of Kirsten and MJ, but does she have long or short hair in the movie? It looked long, but I've always knows MJ to have long hair.

I hate dimples. I also hate adults who pretend to be teenagers in movies and television. Eh, what can you do?

I think MJ's hair changes in the movie. I've seen pics of Dunst with long AND short hair, a la ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN.

Supposedly the movie covers some of the high school years as well as the freshman University year for Peter, MJ, and Harry Osborn. I guess that can sorta explain the difference in looks for Mary Jane.

I wasn't sure about the casting of either MJ or Peter at first but from just the little bit of stuff I've seen it looks like they did an incredible job. Add to the fact that Kristen is one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood and I think that they did a good job on getting the right MJ for the job (that is without including Nikki Cox as the first choice :D).
