Wow. This is way better than the American ones. Actually looks like it actually has some of the original's emotional content. Also I noticed something of a Laputa homage with the moss-covered robot, so it seems like the people making the movie are pretty big anime fans.

Man, I love Japan's trailers for animated movies. They always show the drama side of storylines, compared to how America focuses more on the comedy or action.
I hope this will revive people's hopes on the movie!

Is this even the same movie? Japan sure knows how to market their animated movies better than America. Instead of another stupid CGI kids' movie, this look like a real, emotional, adventure film.

I agree with you there; it really does look like a completely different movie.

Got to admit, the Japanese trailer looked better than the American one my brother showed me.

Now, THAT is more like it. But, on the flip side, it may spoil something for some people.

This is the actress who will be the voice of Astroboy in the Japanese dub of the movie. Some of you may be familiar with her in a movie called "Azumi" and its sequel.

Thats the only problem I have with the Japanese trailer, I think it shows way too much. Still at least it gives you more of an Astro boy feel unlike the US trailers.

It works for the demographic, since Astro Boy is more of a landmark than another IP. They're also genre-savy in the cliches and story, since they make half these cliches anyways.

I loved the most recent American trailer, but this is great too. Really gets into the emotional aspects of the film. Can't wait to see it!!!!!!!
