It started with Jimmy Neutron and and then Barnyard, but at least those were Nick movies. Now there's Penguins and soon we get Kung-Fu Panda and Monsters vs. Aliens which are Dreamworks movies. Then there will be another Jimmy spin-off in Planet Sheen. I don't have anything against any of these movies (or the spin-offs so far) but is Nick relying on them too heavily for new Nicktoons? And I don't hate CG, I just think that 2D should exist with it equally seeing as how the rest of the schedule is live action anyway.

I kinda miss 2D Nicktoons and none of the last few lasted much more than a couple seasons. The only ones still airing are SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents which began around the turn of the century and then Mighty B. TUFF Puppy might be good 'cause I like Butch Hartman's work. I don't know about Fanboy and Chum-Chum 'cause I never saw Random! Cartoons but its CG too. Sometimes I wish they could've picked up Plastic Man when CN didn't 'cause it had that Ren & Stimpy feel. I mean CN picked up Adventure Time which was on NN. I think it's time they air some of the shows from Nicktoons on Nick.

Monsters vs. Aliens is only a pilot, it hasn't gotten picked up for full series yet.

I do miss the 2d Nicktoons such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Invader Zim, Kablam!, and such. But what can we do....I used to love Nicktoons Network..i still like it but I miss them showing the older cartoons.

I like you also enjoy the Dreamworks movies and even spinoffs but Nick is really over-doing it for sure. God how i miss Klasky and Csupo and their original material. Im not a big fan of movies made into a tv series but i will admit to really enjoying barnyard.

Yah man it'd be nice to have more 2D shows. But I do like some spin offs from movies such as Penguins of Madagascar or Jimmy Neutron. Than I'll prob enjoy Planet Sheen. But yah I do miss those 2D days.

Yeah Sheen's a great supporting character but I don't know how well he'll do as a main character. He served as the idiot to Jimmy's genius. And I doubt we'll see much of anyone but Sheen for most of the series, so I hope he's not too annoying. But I'll probably tune in anyways. ;)

Oh god. Don't give them any ideas!

But yeah, I did notice that as well. And i'm kinda bummed about it. I miss all the 2D cartoons. And I don't really wanna see a bunch of cartoons being made on movies that I had no interest in watching in the first place.

I hope they do make a Monsters vs. Aliens series. Wouldn't that be cool to see Susan find a new guy since her fiance in the movie was a self-absorbed, career-driven jerk? I see her as a godzilla type.

Actually, Susan/Ginormica is homage to the movie Attack of the 50-Foot Woman (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051380/) (1958).

As for Sue getting a new beau, I wouldn't be against the idea, though I imagine that Susan maintaining a relationship would be kind of hard, given that she's 50 feet tall. Unless they plan to accelerate the growth some dude down the line...

On the other hand, Susan's design is so appealing, it's hard not to like her.

Personally, as long as the show is entertaining, I'm fine with it being CG. So far, I have enjoyed most of Nick's CG output (Jimmy Neutron, Penguins) so I'm fine with it. I don't want them to overdo it though, as I love 2D cartoons like SpongeBob, but I'm certain there will be a good balance of both on Nick.

Actually, what I meant was I see with a charming Reptilian that is the same height as her.
